Xbox 360 slim offline lag

Hi dinobots,

Do you use Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable? If you are experiencing severe lag, it could be a problem with your actual internet connection and not necessarily your XBox 360.

I would purchase an ethernet cable (they run about $10 over here in the states) and try that out before anything else

HOW DO YOU HOOK AN XBOX 360 TO Emerson EWF2004 20

This TV has composite and S-video inputs (limiting you to SD outputs from the XBOX). Since the XBOX 360 only has an HDMI output, you will need the XBOX to composite AV cable. (There is also an XBOX to S-video cable.) This adapter is sold separately from the XBOX. Buy.com has the composite video cable for $8 plus shipping here: http://www.buy.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=222079854&sellerid=18395415 . It will be more expensive at any retail electronics store.

The manual for the Emerson EWF2004 is available from Funai, which built the TV for the Emerson line, http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . The direct link to the manual is http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/EWF2004.pdf . Note: you need the original remote or a universal remote that has a Source or Input button (with the correct code) to change inputs. There is no Input button on the TV.

I hope this helps.

X-Box Controller lag on new T.V.

This may be because of HDMI, but I have seen this happen on other TVs that use coax cables. It may be your controller is getting old. If you can afford it, try replacing the controller or get the HDMI connector for the xbox 360.

Cant play my xbox 360 on my 22 inch Insignia tv

Is the TV an High Definition TV?
If it's not an HDMI compatible tv them you will need a regular audio video cable for your XBOX 360
you cn get them all day on ebay or at any store.

Lag between ps2, ps3 and LCD TV.

2 questions:
Are you using HDMI cable?
Have you tried your ps3 in any other HDTV?

Heres why I ask you this. PS3 has some compatibility issues with some TVs (or Tvs have it with ps3....that is controversial xD) so if you happen to be so unlucky to have bought an HDTV which ps3 has issues with, you`ll have a problem (as was my case)

In my case whenever I switch resolutions or enter a game the HDTV starts flashing between the ps3 screen and some blank screen with dots. I have to remove the hdmi cable and connect it again and it solves. :D

So please answer my 2 questions in order to discard some possibilities.

Time lag between Playstation 3 and LCD TV.

SOURCE: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=confrontation&thread.id=735278&view=by_date_ascending&page=2

If your playing with lag on your new HD LCD your at a competitive disadvantage! Everything you see happens seconds later than your opponent who has his/her settings right.
The fix:
1. Connect your PS3 using HDMI Input 2.
2. SELECT or RENAME the HDMI Input to PC. Already pointed out, but this does not make the majority of tv's run in PC mode.
3. On the PS3 start-up menu go to Settings---> Display ---->
Choose HDMI ----> DO NOT choose AUTOMATIC ----> SELECT CUSTOM ----->
4. Now, Select all the Resolution options EXCEPT 720p. This will force your games into 1080p mode. What it will also do is drop any game that doesn't have 1080i/p support into 480. Games like Burnout Paradise, Vegas 2, Heavenly Sword, NHL 08 and more will be dropped into SD (480) rather than HD. Your picture will be terrible. 720p is standard gaming resolution currently, 1080i/p is not.
5. Save and complete the display setup.
6. Turn off the PS3. Turn off the TV.
7. Turn on the TV. Turn on the PS3.
8. Complete! (Lag eliminated). Please spread this around!

*The key to eliminating ALL LAG is modern LCD's need to be in PC MODE (NOT GAME MODE) On many tv's, PC mode requires you to use a VGA or DVI connector. You'll either need to buy an HDMI adapter or an HDMI to VGA / DVI cable if that's the case.
and the Source MUST BE IN 1080p so that the TV can use it's NATIVE RESOLUTION.* Please, check your tv's native resolution. If you have a plasma that only does 720p, your native resolution is probably 720p. You do not need to follow these steps, it will only make things worse. If your tv's native resolution is 720p, obviously you want to keep your display settings at 720p on your PS3. If your native resolution is 1080i, you shouldn't go selecting 1080p. If your native resolution is 1080p on your TV, you need to be aware that removing 720p as an option will force many games into 480.

Keep these things in mind and remember that the steps above are far from a cure all solution. .
