The issue I am having is constant freezing and being told no signal, We took it to Verizon 2 times already only to be told they didnt know and gave us new replacements. Now we are going back again, because of the same issue. We even told them of the inconvience of this, especially traveling and the phone basically goes dead.Their comment ..."we dont know why, but we'll give you a new phone"..
Before it begins to freeze, it would flash (blinking) off /on, then if I need to dial or text ..its frozen and I'm not able to use it for almost a day....ugh!!!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

That is a common problem. I have had that issue myself. Motorola's pull a better signal in a rural area than LG. I would see if you can do a return exchange for another like phone that is a Motorola. It's the way the phones are made that makes the signal strength different.
I had been having trouble with my cell phone freezing if I did not receive an incoming text or call right away.
I was sure that I was just ready for a new phone even though I had finally just begun to like it.
(Before anything... remember to always check your lock feature.)
My daughter was upgrading to a blackberry when I mentioned the problem I was having with my phone and they told me that I could upgrade my program on my phone at no cost. Whatever they did, fixed the problem! You have to go to a Real Verizon Service Center that has the equipment but it will fix the problem!
My LG Versa kept freezing up too...Call Verizon and have them tell you what software version is on your phone currently. I then took took it to the Verizon store and had it 'flashed' because there was a newer version for mine...it took about 25 minutes...worked fine...no more freezing up.
Just tell tech support you want the Alltel Hybrid PRL pushed to each of your phones. It takes 24-48 hours to hit your phone. After that, do not ever dial *228 and press option 2 again, or it will put you back on a different set of towers and get bad signal again. The problem is not specific to Pearls at all.
There is no way you can fix it on your own. Your phone probably still has the one year warranty that comes with it when you buy the phone from Verizon. If you bring back the phone to Verizon (and it has no water damage or other physical damage that would prevent them from taking it) they will replace it by either mailing you a new one or giving you a replacement on the spot. This is not your problem that the phone is freezing, so they should have no problem replacing it. I have the original Env and it would constantly shut off by itself so I brought it to the store before my 1 year warranty expired and they replaced it with little questions. They did say that if there was water damage than they couldn't take it. Your dad shouldn't be mad at your for this, but if he will be, than you can find someone else to bring you to the verizon store because you don't need the account holder there with you when getting a replacement like this.
That is a software issue. You need to either contact motorola or verizon regarding that issue. This is a known problem with their phone and they never fully resolved the first batch of the Razor freezing issue.
We have a family plan with AT&T and we each have different phones: a Blackberry Pearl, an LG KE770 Shine, a RAZR and a Pantech. All the phones get strong AT&T signals at home except the LG Shine which shows no signal at all. This is true also when we go to different parts of town...all the phones get strong signals except the LG may or may not have a signal. We took it to a service center and they gave us a new SIM card but the problem remains. What could be the problem except the possibility that the LG Shine really sucks?
