Driver Needed I have an older OfficeJet Pro 1170cxi. I run Xp on my computer and would really like to get this going. Does anyone know where I could get a Xp version of the driver? The only version I could find was NS.

This would work but when I clicked Xp on the list all that came up was a blank page.

Try using the resident driver

1. go to printers and faxes
2. add a printer
3. unchecked automatically detect
4. Use the following port (type of connection i.e. usb. parallel)
5. Manufacturer: HP Printers:HP OfficeJet Pro1170cxi
6. Keep on clicking next on the test page window choose no
Finish

Yes, they changed the page. You should have clicked the 'search' button in the middle of hp page. It was redirecting you to proper drivers page.

In any case here comes the right link.

I will be grateful if you can cancel the negative feedback given.

    Many thanks.

My hp officejet pro L7580 is connected to DOT4 port, there's a hp officejet pro L7580fax connected to USB002. I want officejet pro L7580 connected to USB002, NOT the L7580fax. My desktop is not...

To walk you through I'd need to know the OS you are running, but the generic answer is that you need to go into the print driver, and in the Printer Properties, under the ports tab , select the USB002 port rather than the DOT4 port and Apply the changes.

Can't load xp pro onto my IBM Lenovo M52 Desktop

Check to see if the CD is an upgrade. If so, load an older OS first and then use the CD to upgrade.

the XP driver really should work appropriately. I might assume that the drive is damaged (which happens to me frequently with older DVD drives).

Printer Driver needed for WinXP machine

Unfortunately there is no place on the internet that offers the driver for Windows 98, so you are going to have to upgrade your computer to at least Windows XP. This is unfortunately the way things go in the computer industry. They are always moving forward, and setting the end-of-life for equipment and software all the time. A few years ago, Windows 3.1 was terminated and now 98 is going down the same path.

Sorry there is not a 'good' solution to your dilemma.

Xp Driver Needed

OK.. here's how this works:

You would need to go on to HP's Live Chat.. once there you would (hopefully) get them to understand that you were directed to this upgrade offer based on the serial number of your OJ Pro 1170 and that there's no XP support.

They offered: HP OJ Pro L7680 REFURB @ $291.99
PhotoSmart 3210 REFURB @ $164.99
OJ Pro L5780 REFURB @ $110.99

Not bad deals, but it's up to you...

If you need help on how to get to HP live chat, let me know.
