My system goes in and out. Ex .. my music will all of a sudden go out. I'll either have turn off the unit then turn it back on or wait a few hours or a day. Then while I have a dvd in the sound goes out, then Ihave to turn the power off ,eject the dvd, put it back in then turn the sound on. I shutter to think what will happen when summer comes. Help

First off how long have you owned the unit? Did you buy it new? Did it ever work playing cd's? it sounds like either a setting problem or a hardware problem with the unit. Once I have more information I can assist you further in trying to isolate the problem. Thank you, Lee
It sounds like the phone mute is going on and off, but I'm just guessing because I don't know your grounds, speaker wire hookup configuration, etc. Look at the screen when the music cuts off and goes back on and if you see a little red phone with the cross through speaker symbol (aka mute) it's probably the phone mute feature which is supposed to be hooked up to bluetooth and mute the stereo when you get a call. Like I said I'm just guessing, but if so there's a brown wire in the back that needs to be hooked up.
You can disconnect power from the unit and this will kill the power feed to the system memory (the memory that hold commands from the remote)Now if this does not work I have seen where the unit indicated mute as a response rather than an actuator of an event. This is rare but it does happen. What could cause this is if the audio pre-amp goes out or is turned off by the mute button and there is no sound the unit detects this and indicates a mute. This I hope is not what is happening here, because this is a design flaw, the mute should turn off the pre amp and indicate a mute condition because the mute button was pushed, not indicate mute because of a no-audio condition. As said try to remove power from the unit and if this does not work, I would suggest finding a shop on fixya to take or ship your unit to for repair
