Chrysler voager radio install

I have a voyager on a 2001 plate with the infinity gold sound system in it and i have put a pioneer dvd head unit in and i have used a harness as well but can not get any sound out of it . it all lights up and plays cds but no sound.
i have looked through loads and loads of forums and most of them say that the blue remote wire off the head unit must be connected to the blue on the harness witch is connected to the loom,
this i have done to no avail i am told that the factory amps on the speakers are not being turned on when the radio is turned,
any help please, THANKS.

You have the "special" infinity system the uses a data signal to turn on the amps.. no easy way to get around it. time to rewire the van.. sorry bro... hate being the bearer of bad news.

Overhead DVD monitor screen dead but sound plays through stereo

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

Hope this helps....

Pioneer AVH-P5700 instalation

You can find a wiring diagram for your 87 monte at http://www.modifiedlife.com/1987-chevrolet-monte-carlo-car-audio-wiring-schematic/ You can refer to the installation manual for your deck at http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/130/130AVHP570.PDF Since you are removing a shaft style radio and installing a DIN style you will need to perform extensive modifications to your dash. The Pioneer manual provides the dimensions.

The IP-Bus cables is colored polarized at each end to inter connect all components. Just hook them in series follow the color you may add all the components you have. How do you connect a pioneer d2 navigation system to a 2006 ford expedition entertainment system

You need to identify the four wires that carry the DVD audio in the factory plug, and re-wire them to RCA plugs that can be used with the Auxiliary input RCA jacks on your Pioneer unit. The four wires should be: Left (+) light green Left (-) white Right (+) red Right (-) black The easiest way is to purchase some inexpensive RCA cables (or better yet, speaker wire with RCA ends). Cut the cables and wire the center pin conductor wires to the (+) audio wires in the stock plugs, and connect the outer shield conductors to the (-) wires. Then connect the RCA plugs to your head unit's auxiliary input jacks.
