How to fix toshiba photo copy machine not printing black and white but printing color and the black toner is full

If your Toshiba photocopier is not printing in black and white but is printing in color, there are a few possible causes and solutions to try. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure the machine is set to print in black and white. Some photocopiers have a setting that allows you to choose between color and black and white printing. Check the settings on your machine to make sure it is set to print in black and white.
  2. Check the toner cartridges. If the black toner cartridge is full but the machine is still not printing in black and white, there may be a problem with the cartridge. Try removing the cartridge and shaking it gently to redistribute the toner inside. Then, clean the contacts on the cartridge and the machine to ensure they are making good contact.
  3. Check the fuser unit. The fuser unit is responsible for heating and fusing the toner onto the paper. If the fuser unit is not working properly, it can cause the machine to not print in black and white. Check the fuser unit for any damage or debris, and clean it if necessary.
  4. Check for any error messages. If your machine is displaying any error messages, try to troubleshoot the problem based on the specific error message. You may be able to find the meaning of the error message and a solution in the user manual for your machine.
  5. If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Toshiba for technical support or service. They may be able to help you diagnose and fix the problem with your machine.

Can't print in black and white

Hi Aaron,

There should be a setting in your PREFERENCES that allow you to set it to black print only. Select it as your default setting so that you don't have to change the settings each time you print.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I can't print in color

There are several possibilities here:

1) The default printer settings in your OS (operating system) were set to black only. If you are in windows, go to the windows control panel and choose the printers icon. Find your printer and modify the settings to allow color.

2) The application is overriding the default print settings. Look for something under the application's menu system like "File...Print Setup", or "File...Printer Settings" and change the print mode there to color.

3) The application's page setup is set to black or greyscale only. Look in the application's menu system for something like "File...Page Setup" or "Format...Page" and make sure it's not set to black only.

You will probably get better answers to your question by providing more info like what OS, or version of Windows you are using and what program you are trying to print from.

Printer shows no errors

Is that problem just for that color black? sounds like you might have a bad image unit or developer. You can start out by switching the image units.. switch the Cyan image unit to the Black and the Black back to the Cyan. Print out a solid color page on the trouble shooting menu. If the Cyan prints out bad you have a bad image unit . If Black still comes out splattered then it might be the developer. We always call this company called www.Iteminc.com for support and parts instead of xerox. They have good techninicians. Almost all my answer have come from here. well good luck

Switching between color and black and white

Go here. In the search box in the center of the screen, type "print with black ink only" and click Search. Choose the appropriate link, and you will get instructions for printing from either Windows or Mac.

I have a xerox dc12 with error message please turn machine off and on again 9-363 have tried several times but no good! what else can I do?

That's a process problem with that machine.
May require a service call .ON and OFF is pretty much all a customer can do and wait for it to setup.
NOTE: The problem occurs because of the trickle development system in the machine, making extended lengths of black and white copies / prints does not allow the black developer housing to purge itself of excess waste Toner (Dry Ink) and Developer. There are two solutions for the problem:
  • Make 1,000 copies / prints of a black and white job, then make 150 copies / prints of full color. Continue making 1,000 copies / prints of the black and white job, then 150 full color, and so on, until the entire black and white job is complete.
  • Make extended jobs in groups of 100 by making 100 copies / prints of the black and white job, then allowing the machine to cycle down (return to 'Ready') and making the next 100 copies / prints. Continue in this pattern until the entire black and white job is complete.
