Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
We recently purchased a Sharp 42" LCD TV. A month after purchasing the set, the screen developed a thin, but noticeable, blue line running from the top to the bottom of the screen. It is there anytime we turn on the TV.
You have a bad buffer ic,which is part of the lcd panel.Definiately call sharp to get it repaired. If it doesn't have a warranty, persistence through sharp will get you results.

I have a Sharp Aquos 42" wll mount TV. It has worked wonderfully until yesterday PM. I turned it on (with the remote and with the units manual on switch), the green on-light illuminates, the screen goes dark blue, but no image or sound. The TV is on cable, and I have reception in other parts of the house from the same cable system. The unit has not been moved nor have the cables been touched. What might be the problem?

This could be 1 of three things! 1-main lcd panel
2-y sustain module
3-z sustain module
This is something you cannot do yourself my friend.
