Question about Galaxy Radios DX-33HML 40-Channels Base CB Radio
North Star DX 330 HML has absolutely no receive. TX and modulation work fine. The external speaker doesn't put out any sound as well as the internal speaker. The meter indicates no receiver either.
Radio dude, we'll try to help with the problem your having with your Northstar base. I assume you have checked all the controls to make sure they are functioning correctly? ok, based on what I'm reading for the problem, I'd say your looking at a bad solder joint on the main circuit board, or a close powerful station might have keyed up and blowed the front end out of your receive. There are 1 or 2 fet transistors in the RX chain and with the age of the radio, one of those going bad on it's own is a possibility. Sounds like it needs some hands on troubleshooting, are you electronically able to work on it?? Hope this helps in your search and let us know,, Mechanic
