Question about Nikon COOLPIX L10 Digital Camera
Okay right away i know it is not that the batteries are dead because the on light flashes when you hold it and somtimes i press it and the lens moves out and opens for like 1/2 of a second and goes back in. Also to make sure that it is not the memory card i took it out but, it does still not work.
Hey everyone i had the same problem,
the solution is that you are putting in the wrong batteries
just put in duracell alkaline batteries to solve the problem

My daughter has a coolpix L10 that had a similar problem. Try this:
Put the camera in movie mode and turn it on. Press the menu button and go to setup. Go to the battery menu and make sure the correct battery selection is made (i.e. Alkaline, NiMH, etc.) She changed from alkaline batteries to rechargeable NiMH and the camera would do the same thing you are describing until we made the correct battery selection.
