Hi, any advice would be appreciated! My 7 year old son's GBA was knocked into the toilet by my 3 year old son! I pulled it out immediately and dried it completely and they blowed any excess water out of it with my hairdryer on a low setting!
It turns on and makes noises as if it will work, the problem is it will not charge. The socket on the side of the GBA I think has swollen with the water damage and the power cable will now not connect/charge properly.
Do you think this could be repaired? Is it worth spending anything on it? Can you help? Many thanks!

- Hi, my game boy got wet because my three year old sister went outside and took it and wet it and wont turn on.I tried using the hairdryer and try drying the battery but wont work neither.I tried everything so if anybody knows how to fix it come tell me please thank you.- GuestJul 13, 2008
- hi, my GBA SP got wet so I took it apart and let the pieces dry. when they did dry i put it back together although the screen still had water in it, when i turned it on the screen lite up white for less than a second. i assumed that it needed to be charged. the next day i charged it the little top green light was flashing. i tried to turn it on again but it didn't even light up and the green light immediately went black.- toon_bugJun 27, 2008

I need help With my little bros sp He Wennt in the shower and played will he was taking a bath when ever the screen got wet he dryed it with his hannds. Now theres only sound the screen wont turn off .

today my little cousin spilled toothpaste all over my gameboy sp charger, i rinsed the charger and and dried it off but when i plug it up,it won't charge my gameboy do you think it could be repaired?

well if it doesnt work try to go take all the parts of and you will have to dry them but dont i repeat dont let your children touch the mother board if that doesnt work just buy a nintendo ds lite or you buy the mold cheap model of the nintendo ds i hope i helped you some how :p

You have to go buy one. It's the only solution if your battery pack there only nine dollars. Same thing happened with my battery so im going to buy a new one tomorrow, I hope this helps

it,s not worth repairing.
the cost of a new motherboard and fitting will cost more than the Gameboy advance. i bet the three year old lads not the flavour of the month, with the 7 year old :)
have a look on e-bays the best, not everyone wants these anymore. you might find One on Swapz.co.uk if your in England.
