you might need to disconnect your modem for 30 secs then reconnect it . i have just reset my router and then the pc would show a connection but it only went to the router not through to the web.disconnect your modem reconnect then do a reconnect on the pc

have you tried resetting the network adaptor on the belkin, whictch provider are you using for internet connection?

Check for the wireless encryption settings associated with this. If you're trying to join a network with "Open" settings to a encrypted network it won't work very well.

you may need to go to control panel, then internet settings, then hit the connection tab, and make sure the 'never dial a connection' button is clicked. then apply and reboot if necessary. don't mess with the router settings and definitely don't restore factory settings, that'll blank out the ip address and other things.
you should be able to access the web, otherwise the ethernet cable fromj your pc to the router is plugged into the wrong port on the back of the router.

YOu may have configured static ip address in your desktop computer...
CHange IP setings to obtain Ip address automaticaly.....

or follow

1. Open Windows Start menu.
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Classic view: Open Network Connections
   Category view: Select Network and Internet Connections, and then Network Connections.
4. Double-click on your active LAN or Internet connection.
5. Click Properties.

This opens the Local Area Connections Properties window.

In the General tab, highlight the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item, and click Properties.

In the General tab, click

Obtain IP address automatically....

and click ok...

and try to conect it now...
