SOURCE: my wii bowling is throwing the ball backwards.

Have you tried using a different controller? Have you repositioned your sensor? - sounds like either a faulty controller or dodgy sensor

SOURCE: Can ball speed in Wii bowling vary from console/remote to another

Absolutely, every machine has slight differences, it maybe the setup and orientation of the sensor bar or maybe his carpet is a little more fluffy effecting the way you stand. Who knows? You have to expect that not every Wii will "feel" exactly the same every time.

Good luck, and have fun.

Is lawn bowling the same as bocce?

There are a few differences. First of all, a lawn bowling ball is only round in one direction (and elliptical on the other side). Also, lawn bowls are rolled as opposed to throwing them underhand in bocce.

Is bowling suitable for kids?

Bowlingis a great sport for kids. It teaches them team work and patience and can beplayed whatever the weather is. You get special bowling shoes so that eventhe lightest of kids won't slip while throwing the ball and you can ask them toclose off the gutters so that they knock some pins over no matter how bad theiraim is.

What's a straight ball release?

This is actually my favorite throwing style. What you need to dois to grab the ball with you hand creating a "w" shape, then you need to aim tothe center lane and a click to the left and powerfully throw the ball asstraight as you can in the direction you've aimed to, try practicing it alittle bit to master this throw.
