put your windows CD in the DVD Drive.
start the computer, press F2 when it Boots up. Should take you into Bios settings. ** Be Careful here** entering the wrong values can render your laptop useless.
Scroll across the page until you see boot-device priority. move the DVD/CD Drive to the top, or as first boot device.
Save settings and exit.
when the computer reboots it should start the windows installation, and overwrite any missing-corrupt or deleted files.

what are the HDDs you have... type and size and speed is needed.
and if you can plug in one. then see if it boots, and works. then that one is proper, and you can test ea HDD and mark it will accept :
20gb, 30gb, 40gb, 60gb 80gb, 120gb,250gb - ATA 2,3,4,5 interface
Try to get in to the BIOS and ck the settings. Make sure the hard drive is all the way in it's bay. reboot and press Esc. or Del as it is booting, to try and access the bios. This is where all of the computer main settings are found, make sure your hard drive shows up here or it may be bad- Sorry.
The installation cd is on a seperate partition of your hard drive. If you are wanting to reinstall everything follow these instructions I have the same computer.
You dont need a disk- but do the following:-
1) Turn on your computer. 2) Press F4 repeatedly until you see the
recovery program 3) Click - application on the left pane 4) then follow
instructions on screen. That it.
