My Nissan urban keeps overheating after it got overheated what could be the cause

Cooling fans not turning on, check to make sure the cooling fans are running when overheating occurs. Not enough coolant in the cooling system, check the coolant reservoir make sure the coolant is at at the maximum level when combustion engine is completely cool,if your coolant is low add coolant to the maximum level. (1)Start combustion engine, let it warm up but not over heat. Turn off combustion engine, when it cools completely the coolant reservoirs level will be lower . Add more coolant and keep repeating (1) until the coolant level stays the same after combustion engine completely cools down.Sensor that tells the cooling fans to turn on defective. Non functioning thermostat. Broken impeller inside Water Pump. Clogged radiator. Clogged water jackets in combustion engine. Broken drive belt. Radiator has something blocking the cooling fins(possibly a plastic bag that went against the cooling fins when driving)

2000 cadillac deville is overheating, replaced thermostat: water pump radiator had head gaskets fixed it's saying check coolant level and it spews coolant from the overflow tank cap when hot thoughts?

Two cooling fans controlled by three relay's . If only one fan is working ,that could be a problem .
Coolant Level Sensor Description
The coolant level sensor monitors the coolant level in the cooling system and indicates if the coolant is low. This sensor is located at the base of the radiator surge tank and is not serviceable.
The IPC receives a discrete input from the engine coolant level switch. The engine coolant level switch is normally closed. When the engine coolant is low, the engine coolant level switch opens. When the IPC receives an open signal from the engine coolant level switch, the IPC displays the message on the DIC.

Motor gets hot

check coolant level, and for leaks, check for cooling fan operation, if those are good and working, possibly blockage in radiator or thermostat problem

Mini Cooper temperature gauge goes to red zone when idle

check coolant level could be too low allowing air in the cooling system causing air pocket in engine around the engine coolant sensor.coolant sensor needs to be in hot coolant so it will cause the cooling fan to come on at a set temperature.make sure coolant correct level and the coolant level in the cooling overflow jug should be at full cold mark.the cooling overflow jug should never be empty,if you see empty cooling overflow jug air got in the cooling system so make sure when engine cold every time raise hood make sure cooling overflow jug coolant level at full cold mark.if jug stay empty you have cooling replace radiator cap,if coolant level all good,i would replace the engine coolant temperature and thermostat.when your car come to a long stop or driving along long line of slow moving traffic the engine coolant blower motor should running if not have vechicle code scan for faulty coolant fan motor control module.or ecm problems.

Temperture gage starting to fluxuate while driving.

This can be caused by an insufficient coolant (aka antifreeze) level. Look at the coolant level in the reservoir under the hood. There should be two marks on the bottle "warm" or "hot" and "cool" or "cold". If the engine has been running for a while as in the case when the car has been driven few miles, the coolant level should be up to the "warm" or "hot" line on the bottle. If the car has been parked without the engine running for a couple of hours or more, the coolant level should be at the "cool" or "cold" line on the bottle.

Never remove the radiator cap when hot or if the engine has only been been stopped for less than 2 or 3 hours.

If the hot coolant is at a level that is below the warm or hot line, you should add more of the coolant / water mixture only to the reservoir - not to the radiator. If you are only able to check the coolant level when it is hot - you will have to repeat this procedure until the coolant level of the reservoir is maintained. Checking the hot coolant level can only be done when it has been allowed to cool between hot checks. The cooling period is the only time when coolant is drawn from the reservoir back into the radiator.

If the cold coolant is at a level below the cool or cold line of the reservoir you should add more of the coolant / water mixture to the reservoir and to the radiator, too. Fill the radiator to the top of the neck where the tube from the reservoir connects to it.

If you're still having widely fluctuating temperatures while driving at normal operating speeds, there may be a problem with the water pump, thermostat or other portion of the cooling system.

I hope this helps & good luck!

I have a 2001 De Ville, where is the cooling level sensor located. The check cooling level on the information center comes on every time you start the car. The level is ok.

This item is located in the resevoir, by the brake master cylinder. The Northstar has a head bolt problem, that allows compression gases to enter the cooling system, and that blows out coolant. Loss of heater, loss of coolant, eventual overheat are common symptoms.

But, top up and see of the issue comes back. If it does, have the cooling system checked for exhaust gases..... Extremely expensive to fix CORRECTLY.

Compressor comes on still no cooling

Check the refrigerant level. If the level is less then there will be no cooling effect in the fridge.Always maintain the level to keep it efficient.

Car overheating no heat coming from vents just cold air

NO heat because there is no coolant flowing throught the heaster core. Car is overheat since there is no coolant circulating in engine water jacket.
Check the coolant, if it is low, then check the oil level. If oil level is high then the head gasket is blown so coolant gets into the engine therefore there is not enough coolant to cool the engine.
If the oil level is OK and coolant level is OK then Need to check 3 following things:
-Bad thermostat is not open causing coolant stagnant then engine overhet.
-Bad water pump is not pumping coolant so there is no coolant circulating to disipate the heat.
-Bad radiator blocks the coolant flow from top to bottom radiator.
Good luck.
