Question about Nintendo DS Console
After I replaced the case on my DS all I get is a quick orange light when power is applied. Then when I press the power button the green light comes on for a sec.
I've reconnected all of the ribbon cables and tried a known good power supply and battery.
If you have changed the bottom screen this can also happen because the screen is shorting out on the board, ensure you have put on an insulating pad like the original screen

Not sure if you want to do this but i had sorta the same problem.. the problem was i was trying to fix my sound problem , i ended up putting the battery the WRONG way and didn't know what to do , it would just light for a sec and go out..
found out what was wrong , i blew a tiny fuse on the circuit board, i set my multimeter to ohms and tested all the fuses(tiny) for continuity and found one with no continuity so i jumped it using wire (connected the 2 points of the fuse together) now it works like a charm.. never did fix the sound.. try checking for blown fuses.. might be your problem..

If the screen flashes on then off, like a flash from a camera, it's the top lcd screen, even a tiny rip, crease in the ribbon will do this
