My dsi Froze and i tried holding it for more then 30 seconds and i do not want to take the battery out. what do i do?

Try to
-remove the battery and power plug
-press and hold the start button for 30 seconds
-put the battery back -start on the battery or power cord

if its anything like an samsung tablet hold the power button down for atlest a min. I had to hold mine down for 30 seconds to get it to reboot

Hold power button down for 5-10 seconds and it will? turn off, or take off the battery.

Unplug the DSI and then let it power back on. If your still not getting a response then its time for a new dsi.

try resetting the system by taking the battery out for a few seconds and then relace it

Hold the power button down for around 10-12 seconds. This has worked each time on my daughters.

with the garmin off, hold down the right bottom of the screen and turn the garmin on, it will then ask you if you want to perform a hard reset. Choose yes and that should fix your problem.

To reset your Clip, try holding the power slider switch in the "On" position for 15-30 seconds. Release the power switch once the unit begins to power down.

Try this -

1. Remove any USB devices such as ipod, printers etc etc

2. Remove the ac adapter and the battery

3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

4. Put the ac adapter back in but not the battery

5. Dont plug in any other devices and turn the computer on.

I had the same problem with mine freezing. It happened when I kept pressing the back track button (on left side) to go back to an earlier song. It then froze in the middle of a song, couldn't hear the song, the time of the song was frozen, etc., and the unit stayed lit, despite pressing all the buttons. I tried holding down power but nothing happened. I read another person's post that you need to hold it down 15-30 seconds. I did this and it worked, you just have to hold it down until it shuts down, which was about 15 seconds as suggested, could be longer for others.
For me, next time I wont keep clicking the tracks repeatedly, I'll simply go out of the song and back to the song I want through the menu.
