I am having problems adjusting volume

What type of laptop HP , ASUS , COMPAQ , ACER ?..........
Up the Volume on My HP Laptop
Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel" icon.
Locate and open the icon that deals with sound.
Depending on your version of Windows, it will say either "Sounds and Audio Devices" or "Adjust System Volume."
Adjust the volume under the "Speakers" icon.
To do this, click on the slider bar and move it up on the slider.
If you need to decrease the volume, simply move the slider bar down.
Click on "OK" when finished and close the "Control Panel" window.
Click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen for a faster volume adjustment. Simply move the slider bar up to increase the volume and move it back down to decrease the volume.

Volume on an Acer Laptop
Acer laptops are typically sold with pre-installed Windows operating systems that offer sound-adjustment features for increasing the volume on the laptop's built-in stereo speakers.
These same functions can also be used in tandem with external speakers or headphones to increase the volume, as well as mute all sound on the laptop.
If the computer should output an unusually low volume, fixing the problem may be no more involved than sliding a control switch with the computer mouse. Click once on the speaker icon in the taskbar on the lower-right corner to open a rectangular window with a slide control.
Click and hold the left mouse button on the slide control to drag it upward, increasing the volume to the laptop's maximum setting.
Click the "Mixer" button below the slider control to open another window with volume controls for "Speakers" and "Applications," adjusting each slide control upward to increase the volume.
Be sure the speaker icon below each control is not accidentally muted.
Click once on each speaker icon to remove the red circle with a slash through it, which will restore audio.
Click the Microsoft flag or "Start" button in the lower-left corner if the shortcut speaker icon is missing from the taskbar.
Click "Control Panel" to select "Adjust Sounds" from the Hardware and Sounds category.

Behringer pmp4000; not getting much volume from system 2 speakers going through main 1 out both L R A/B switch is to the top main L R tried guitar computer in channels 9/10 via rca still minimal...

You would get about 200 Watts RMS per side using 8 ohm speakers. "Not much volume" is very relative. With the two 12 inch speakers you should be able to fill a 600 to 1000 sq ft room nocely.

I have this mixwer for domestic use only, swithced it on last night and power is there, but no sound at all, from any channel.Could you please advise,

Make sure your audio source is playing.

Make sure your channel is not muted.

Make sure your channel is assigned to "main mix" (bottom button to right of main volume slider).

Make sure your main output slider has volume applied.

Make sure the cable you're plugging into your "main output" is being plugged into the 1/4" or xlr output receptacle that corresponds with the slider you provided volume to.

You should then put the outgoing cable into either an eq or an amp.

If you're going to an amp first, place the cable carrying the signal from the board into an "incoming" slot on the amp. Run a cable from the output of that channel of the amp to a speaker. Turn on the amp and fade the volume knobs up. That should give you power - provided your board, cables, amp and speaker are working properly.

If you're going to an EQ first, place the cable carrying the signal fromt he board into an "incoming" slot on the eq. Then run a cable from the output of the same channel on the eq to an incoming slot on your amp. Then run an outgoing cable from the same channel on the amp to a speaker. Flip your eq on, flip your amp on, fade up the volume on the amp, and make sure you don't have a gate closed on the eq (also make sure if you have a gain knob on the eq, that it's at least partially providing power). If your board, cables, eq, amp and speaker are working properly, you will have sound.

When moving the bottom knob on channel 1 and 2 of the pioneer djm 600 mixer there is a slight interference sound coming through the speakers. Channel 3 and 4 are fine

That sounds like you could have some dust built-up on your sliders. Get yourself some dust repellant spray or silicone spray normally found at you nearest computer store. That will definately sort your problem

Marantz pm 7200 lost sound, only works when volume is up high, still looks like there are no high or medium frequencies.

You have either lost the pre-amp stage or the Main Amp stage. Since you have a problem on both channels it most be a part that is common to both channels. Something like an IC I would suspect.

Suddenly, amplifier stopped giving out sound. Controls and display seem to work fine. If it is blown fuse, where is it & how can i replace it?

Does it stop on both channels? It sounds to me like the safety circuit is activating. This usually happens when either the volume is too high, or the speaker load is too great (i.e. usually loads less than 4 ohms will do this) or, the amplifier has an internal short causing the amplifier's output stage to become un-balanced. Does the sound come out nice and clearly through both channels? How long does the receiver play before the sound stops? How loud are you playing the music when it stops like this? If the sound is reasonably clear through both channels at regular volume, then there is probably nothing at all wrong with the receiver's output circuits. If the amplifier is being played at regular volume or even lower volume for quite a while and then quits, perhaps the receiver is getting too hot and it's thermal sensors are activating the protection circuit. Make sure that when you operate the receiver, that there aren't things laying on top of it blocking the unit from venting and cooling properly. Make sure it has plenty of breathing room - amplifiers (most of them anyway) are inherently subject to producing heat. If the amplifier only quits when played at high volume, well then that's probably the problem - it's probably not meant to deliver such power that you're asking it to - especially if you're driving a heavy load such as 4 ohms or less. If you're running several speakers on this unit, try scaling back to just two speakers for now, and make sure these are 8 ohm speakers. Play the unit for a while and see how it does.

Same prob, using control panel sound mic off does not work

Right click on the speaker in the bottom corner (or go to sound in the control panel) and go to playback devices. Then click speakers, then click properties. Go to the levels tab and mute/lower the volume of the microphones.

Pioneer DJM-600 Bad feedback when i turn up the master volume

It's not your ground wire with the issue, but your RCA cables. Try disconnecting both turntables, and connect 1 at a time, and do the same test, this way you can isolate the problem. Once you've isolated the problem, then you'll need to have the RCA cables replaced on your turntable.

You might also want to check the Cartridges as well. Sometimes a bad cartridge or headshell connection will cause this issue. Worst case scenario, its your tonearm, but that should be test last.

Also, on the rear of your mixer, there is a gain volume pot, make sure this is not maxed out. Keep it about 3/4 of they up. Again, this is on the rear of your mixer where you connect everything.

Sound of My Vizio L37

I know thier are some hidden sound settings in the menu if you hit your menu key on your remote [or the one on the side of your tv],then goto to the tv and press both the channel up and down buttons simultaneously. You will see a factor menu, try changing the sound settings in there.
