Hello. here is the instruction manual for the 6450 which is the same scope with a slightly different lens. All of the instructions and usage of the scope applies to both models. Enjoy your scope. Regards, Joe

Why is everything upside down when looking in the simmons telescope

Most "astronomical" telescopes do invert. You can add an inverting mirror between the telescope and eyepiece, like this one:
http://www.celestron.com/browse-shop/astronomy/visual-accessories/diagonals/125in-star-diagonal

You'll get rightside up, but left/right backwards images.

We purchased an edu science telescope. model - 70 mm astro-gazer telescope. When we look through the "finderscope" everything is upside down. What do we do to fix this problem?

It isn't a problem. Astronomical telescopes usually show an upside down image. There is a good reason for this- erecting the image needs more bits of glass in the light path, which reduces the amount of light and increases aberrations. Even if this is only slight, astronomers prefer to avoid it, and they don't really care which way up the Moon or Jupiter appear.

It is possible to fit an erecting prism or eyepiece to most astronomical telescopes, and some of them come with one (your main scope may have one), but one wouldn't bother to do this with the small finder scope.

We have a 675 power/6mm astronomical refractor telescope and we can't seem to get it to work. there are no manuals with it either.

Forget about the 675 power. You will never get that much magnification.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. Take the scope outside duringg the day and practice focusing on a distant object. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

The moon should be your first night time target.

I have a Simmons 400x Model 1292 and I need a manuel, my Mom gave it to me and she had no manuel available.

You will not find a specific manual for that small telescope. However Meade maintains a web site with manuals for their telescopes. Find one similar to yours and download it for free. AND-- forget about doing astro-photography with that telescope. You might get a picture of the moon but not much more.

www.Meade.com look under Customer Service--- Manuals

Try to attend a local Astronomy club's star party in your area and ask questions.
