Sounds like one of the cards may have been fried or not completely reinstalled during the process. Did you wear an ESD wrist strap while you worked on it? Number one killer of hardware is static shock. Remove all of the cards while wearing a wrist strap and see if it will stay on. Did you ADD a new card?? Then your power supply probably needs an upgrade.

I turn acer on and i can hear it loading up but the screen stays black. whats the problem?

Either the cord is not properly plugged in to the tower and monitor or your monitor has been broken. Try making sure that the cables are firmly seated in both the monitor and the tower.

Presario s4020wm tower

start with the power supply and verify that it working if not replace the power supply with one that is known to be good then if you still have no power check to see if the voltage selector is set to 115 not 220 if this all checks out good than you will need to verify that all the connectors to the motherboard and all drives are secure i have got a lot of dead computers to come alive just by unhooking the power cord to the computer and opering up the tower and 1 by 1 unplugging and replugging in all the wires to the board and harddrive and cd rom and dont forget about the cmos battery and than pressing the power button for 3 seconds than plug in the power cord to the computer and try to restart ok good luck !!!!

take that memory card out.. KILL the bios. place the jumper next to the battery from position 1-2 to 2-3 .. attempt to turn the machine 2-3 times.. put the jumper back, turn the pc back on.

you probably have a bad memory stick.

No sound from speakers

If you buy a 1/8 - 1/8 male on each end of cord and plug it into your stereo headset plug on your computer (probably the front of tower) and the other end to the analog in on the back of your ba735 will work great....... Good Luck,

Power Problems :S

Symptoms suggest failed Power Supply. May be failing as more of the computer kicks in and the load goes up. May read fine on multimeter if tested with no load, but still be fried.
