Most of the time is the Master one.The A board,But sometime the Slave board B.Take chances,but the A is the best chances,because is the Master board.

Step 1:
An inverter is an electrical device on the bottom of your laptop screen. The job of the inverter is to convert DC electrical current to AC voltage to maintain power to the backlight lamp. If the display on your laptop is dark but working, odds are the inverter or the lamp are at fault. When troubleshooting monitor problems on a laptop, you may need to evaluate the inverter to determine which of the two parts is malfunctioning.

Remove the screen bezel on your laptop. The bezel is the piece of the computer casing that surrounds and protects the LCD screen. To remove the bezel, remove the screws around the screen. Bezel removal method may vary by model. Once the screws come out, the bezel should pop off. The inverter will be under the screen. Attach the positive probe (+) of a multimeter to the pin 1 on the inverter. The inverter has two connections, one on each end. With the laptop screen facing you, look at the left side of the inverter. Pin 1 is the top metal flange pointing to the right. Secure the negative probe (-) of the multimeter to any bare screw. There should be a screw securing the inverter to the laptop that will be perfect for the negative ground connection. Turn the laptop on to test the inverter. Turn the multimeter on and check the multimeter reading. If the display records voltage going to the inverter, such as 19 V DC, the inverter power supply is working. Turn the laptop off. Unplug the LCD inverter connection on the right side of the inverter. This disconnects the backlight from the inverter. Plug a working backlight to the connection on the right side of the inverter. Turn on the laptop. If the screen lights up, the backlight lamp is bad but the inverter works. If the screen remains dark, the inverter is bad.

Green light turns but tv wont turn on


if you have sounds and backlight replace t-con board..if no backlight but have sounds inverter board..

if no sounds or backlight try this...




That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Either one of the inverter boards has a failing capacitor on it, or the FL (backlight) tube is burning out.
in your case, the most likely suspect is the tube.
The easiest way to find out if it's the tube or the inverter board, is to plug each of the tubes into the others inverter. This isn;t possible on all models because of wire length, but in most cases it can be done.
If you have the same problem on the same side, it's the tube
If the problem moves to the other side, it's the inverter.

You can either look for failed caps on the inverter, or just replace the inverter - the former being much less expensive if it's just a capacitor or 2.

If it's the inverter, here's a video that might help you out in determining what capacitors have gone and how to replace them.

IF it's the backlight you'll have to get the make and model of the LCD panel itself, and then go to somewhere like www.lcdpanels.com to order the backlight (or the entire panel if you don't think you can replace the backlight without damaging the panel).

An LCD screen cannot produce enough light by itself. It needs a Backlight to help illuminate the screen.

Power for the Backlight is produced by an Inverter. An Inverter also provides power for the LCD screen.
It reduces voltage for the Backlight, and increases Voltage for the LCD screen, from the laptop's power.

Most of the time a dark LCD screen can be attributed directly to a bad Inverter. (Around 90 percent)

A Backlight is a CCFL.
Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light.
VERY similar to the fluorescent lights you see used in residential, and commercial applications.
(Homes, and businesses)
Only on a MUCH smaller scale in physical size, and needed power to operate.
When a Backlight goes bad, it just goes all at once. Not goes dark as you have stated.

(Your statement meant to me that you power on the laptop, the LCD screen shows well, then goes dark)

NOTE*
1) ALL power removed from the laptop before beginning.
AC adapter (Charger), and Battery.

2) The screws you will remove, may have screws that look alike, but are NOT.
Do Not mix them up.
For this reason it is suggested to use a multi-compartment container, and label the compartments for where the screws came out of.
You can use a clean egg container, and label the individual egg holders, in a pinch.

IMHO it isn't hard to perform this repair, and you can do it. Save yourself money.

I need a lcd inverter for model#ltv-46w1hd. the part # for the board is lt460blws1a. who sells this inverter board and or the parts on it? the transformer on inverter board a is bad.


These service parts are hard to find because they aren't not longer being manufactured. Check this link to inquire about the board if they can locate one for you or they could repair it.

My 19" Magnavox LCD has no picture I


Hello, This is a common problem; either the inverter or the back light has malfunctioned. The inverter takes AC turns it into high voltage DC and then uses that to power a fluorescent light element (backlight). The fact that you can see a faint picture proves that the inverter or backlight has malfunctioned. You will need: A service manual (to find the voltage levels and signal levels to compare with the measured values) A multimeter (to measure the voltage levels at the prescribed test points) Now, after finding the inverter board, use the service manual to guide you in testing the prescribed test points and determining if the problem is the inverter or the backlight. If the problem is the inverter, use the service manual instructions on how to remove the board properly. If the backlight is bad, use the service manual to guide you as to how to remove the screen in-order to get to the backlight.
