If this is a new unit, you should return it. If you don't have that option, you'll have to open it up and tighten some screws that hold the wires into their respective barrier strips. Delonghi often doesn't tighten them quite enough. The unit will sort of work. The problem may be finding all the screws to remove to get in and that some of them are 'tamper' style. It is also possible that the temp sensors are not fitted right or are defective. Good luck.

Mo steam or hot water

Check that the temperature sensor is working correctly. If it is covered in scale or otherwise faulty it may be causing the machine to leave the heat on longer than it should. If you have a multi meter use it to monitor the resistance through the ntc (providing the machine uses this kind of temperature sensor) as the temperature rises. It should be fairly linear. Try cleaning the sensor or replacing it. Also check to see if the heat is turned off when the water reaches the correct temperature.

Bunn Dual only heating to 180-185F

Is there scale buildup on the heating element? Can you check the voltage of heating elements. They should read in the 208v range. If all checks out then I would change out the thermostat.

We have a keruig model 4o and the temp dose not seem to be hot enough please tell me what i can do to correct it thanks, John White La,Grange.N.c.

KEURIG will first tell you that the temperature is pre-set. then they ask if you are using room temperature water. Also you have to make sure you PUSH the K-Cup into the holder to make sure it works probably. If it is under a year old they will replace it free of charge.

Have an elite 140 for two years. today i have no power when i turn on. unplugged it. replugged it back into out let. does not power up. the wall out let does work and is live. what are your thoughts.

Hi,

The problem is often that the machine develops a leak in the hose that is rightover the transformer...the water drips onto the transformer and kills that...then you have no power to run the machine.

Here is a tip that I wrote about this problem...

What should the ideal temperature be for the coffee?

According to the SCAA, the optimal water temperature for brewing coffee is 92 - 96C (197.6 - 204.8F) for 90% of the contact time.

That's too hot to drink, since the human tongue can only stand about 140 degrees F.

I own the Ikon BES400XL and the coffee does not seem hot enough. Temperature on turning it on is 140 and gets to 160 if I let it warm up. Shouldn't it be around 200F? What gives? Is it something I can...

It was set to that temp by the factory, check the thermostats on the boiler of the machine, those are the set temps. If your machine has a pressure stat you might be able to adjust it to a little higher, never go past 198.

Popping sound following by large bursts of steam

the machine is building too much steam so the safety is blowing off, there might be a thermostat on the machine that is not telling the elements to turn off at the correct temperature. Use ohms meter to check thermostats.

Frothing arm produces a lot of hot water with steam

You probably are overfilling the steam reservoir. If the unit is showing that it has reached temperature, that is your likely problem.
