To connect your disk to pc you need a standard usb cable, you can buy it from pc world, dixon or maplin for 7-10 pounds. If instead you have lost the power supply then you need to get a new power adaptorIn that case it will be more complicated , easiest thing is buying proper one on ebay.

cheers

HOW MANY AMP NEED A POWER SUPLY FOR A VERBATIM SNS2TB ?

Hi Jorge
Internally a standard 3.5" Hard Drive uses two voltages
about .7A on the 5v Line
and .55A on the 12v line.
So an External AC Plug Pack supplying 12v @ 1.5 to 2Amp should be adequate.
Be careful to match the polarity as marked on the back of your drive and use the correct thickness of the centre pin. There are 2-3 different sizes of this connector available at electronics component suppliers in case you make your own supply up.
Good Luck
Trevor

I lost the power cord. What is the AC so I can buy another one?

it is an AC to DC converter, probably 12V rated at 1.5Amps (this is what my Western Digital External Drives are rated at)... Take it to Radio Shack or Fry's and get thier help. You will need to make sure you get the right sized connector.

Could call Seagate, they might sell you a replacement for a decient price.

Peace,

My Maxtor 3200 has a gren light that is now blinking and the computer cannot start the drive. Code 10. What does this mean?

I had this problem. I learned that the power supply was defective. You can purchase a 12V 2amp power supply. This solved my problem. My green light was coming on but my computer didn't recognize the drive and I got the same Code 10 cannot start drive. I purchased a 12V 3amp power supply. It doesn't hurt to have more amps but you need at least 2amps.

The original power supply is "SB2D-020-1HA SIMPLETECH AC ADAPTER 12V 1.5A FOR EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE" . Just find a replacement with the correct size plug (center positive) that supplies 12v DC at 1.5amps (1500ma)
