Address book

i have successfully transfered outlook contacts to my BB. however when i open the address book folder i cannot view them. the only way i can view them is by going to OPTIONS in the address book, then changing the SORT BY option, then i hit save and i can view all the contacts.
(in address book/options it indicates that i have 172 entries)

however when i exit our to the address book and then reopen the address book, it says *No Addresses*. if i go through the above process again i can view them. craziness...can you help.
