Question about Lanier Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

My Lanier LD015spf is indicating I should replace the photoconductor (this has been the case for almost a year now) and through much research I have found a replacement part # 411844. What I cannot find is any sort of instruction manual or other documentation on ''how'' to replace this. Can I do it myself or will I need to have a service tech install it? And if I need someone else to do it, where would I find someone in the Portland, OR area?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: photoconductor defective

Solution #1 above is WRONG. I suspect it was written by an epson consumables sales rep.
The photo conductor has a Kill chip that disables the PCU after a shamefully short number of copies. This chip can be replaced for about 30 pounds sterling. Google for it.

You can get a considerable extension in the use of the PCU, but it will have to be replaced at some point.

I even had the blue roller refurbed by Total Image Direct near London, UK. That was also about 30 quid.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th set of catridges (took over a year before people would produce refills for them though) and still on the first Photo conductor.

Hi yes i have a Lanier LD015f. I just received the photoconductor. Hoow do you replace it?.

Hi, you should have received instructions with the photoconductor, but replacing it is pretty straightforward.
To remove the old photoconductor:
- Open the front door and the right side door. - Remove the toner hopper. - Unplug the connector going from the photoconductor into the machine. - Pull out the photoconductor.
To install the new photoconductor:

- Remove all of the tape, paper, and packing materials. - Slide the photoconductor into the slot left empty by the old one. - Attach the connector and route it behind the plastic guide. - Reinstall the toner hopper. - Close the right side door and front door.
If the machine was on when you replaced the photoconductor, it should automatically detect the new one.

How do you enlarge copies using a Lanier LD015spf

The option for enlarging copies on any printer are usually found under the "properties", or, "preference" tab/button. There should be sub-tab that says "scaling" that is defaulted at 100 percent. Increasing that number enlarges the copy.

Hope this helps. :)

It show 84 replace photoconductor

84 replace photoconductor on the display indicates that the photoconductor has reached its expected life rating. You may continue to print but will be at risk for developing print quality issues. It is recommended that photoconductor unit be replaced. After replacing a photoconductor unit, you will also need to manually reset the PC counter, Thanks

Erase replace photoconductor message for lanier ld015

Its cheaper to replace it. If you reset the unit in a short period of time it will lock up with used toner. Once this happens you still will have to replace the PCU plus the added cotst of the damaged gears and extra labor.

Paper is jamming

When you say startup, do you mean when you turn the machine on or when you attempt to print?

For the first, check to see if there isn't any small piece of paper stuck anywhere in the paper path. for the second condition, clean off the feed roller with a piece of cloth dampened with alcohol.

Black spots on printer

Most Likely the PCU (photoconductor) needs replacing, but it could be a fuser roller problem. It's impossible to say for sure without seeing it.
