Try running diagnostics, when you turn it on when you see the DELL screen tap F12 until you see options look for diagnostics the run it. it will prompt if you have errors.

Do a system recovery. That will recovery to factory settings, assuming you have a recovery partition. Dell support: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx150/en/index.htm

Fatal system error, blue screen of death need my data!

Have you tried doing complete system recovery?
Turn on the system and immediately start Tapping F11 by holding the Ctrl Key.
It will take you to the recovery page wherein you will be able to select the option to restore the computer to original Factory Condition.
Please let me know if it helps or feel free to get back for any further assistance.

Thank you for choosing Fixya

I have a Dell Latitude D820. It is password

Try pressing control alt delete, which should start your task manager..

Then choose new task

type in explorer

If it pulls up a window, then what you need to do is a system restore..

If it does not pull up a window, then you will need to locate a xp install disk or one of your recovery disks and try a repair install

Dell Inspiron 1525 - Dell Screen- Windows Boot Manger Screen

If it's XP:

You can try a chkdsk or do an XP repair: (your data will not be be erased)
Chkdsk
Take the Windows XP disk. Boot from it, then DO NOT select F2 (automated system recovery) but continue through the procedure until you get to the point where you can choose between installing Windows XP and entering the Recovery Console. Once you get into the Recovery Console, do chkdsk and fix potential errors on your disks! Chkdsk C: /R

XP repair
When you boot with the Win XP install CD-ROM, it loads a minimal operating system, similar to DOS, but compatible with Win XP. At the first screen you select install Win XP (not Recovery Console) and at the next screen it will find that you already have Win XP and offer to attempt a repair. This repair should not touch your Applications or data; it just reinstalls the Windows files. This is great because when it works you don't need to reinstall all your software.

If it is Vista, you would need to do a recovery.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Dear Sir, Have Dell laptop Inspiron 1525 with Vista loaded....but I need Win XP-2 OS on it...CD of which I have but don't have the laptop drivers compatible with XP. Can you pls guide me how & where to...

If your laptop is still under warranty, installing WinXP will void the warranty. It's very tricky. I'd suggest getting another PC with Internet connection and search and download drivers as needed for your 1525. Good luck.
