I am so sorry to hear that, this does happen to too many flat screens, usually due to dust buildup inside (not easy to clean) which in turn causes too much heat build up, then parts fail, I woudl highly recomend you add a computer fan or two to the back of your replacement, to prevent this from happening again, and / or at least blow the dust build up out of it every 3 to 4 months. I have seen this failure occure in as littel as 9 months (in homes with fireplaces / dusty enviornments / or smoking homes, as a side note, Apple COrp will deny warranty repairs on any of their electronics that have any kind of smoke residue build up inside of their cases (due to smoking while computing) and its not even listed in their warranrty agreement! Due to smular damage from heat build up

your very welcome, I wish I had better news for you. Unless you are an expreianced relectronic tech then I do not recomend you attempt to repair it,(due to residual high voltage even after its unplugged) but if you do "dabble in electronic componet repair" and are aware od how to do it safly, then watch in your local "Craigs List" or check your local recycling center for the same or simular model TV, if you find one (for very low cost or free) then pick it up, and try swapping parts, you might be lucky, you can kill the smoke oder out using "Fabrese" but must use it very gently, and let it air dry for at least a week before plugging it back in. In case you are wondering, I was a componet level repair tech for the past 37 years, recently retired (just so you dont worry I am just "blowing smoke" to quote a good old phrase, Again best of luck.

The main dc reservoir in the power supply must have burst. This capacitor 47 to 100 MF/400V also releases lot of smoke when it bursts. Most of the times you just have to replace it and the tv works fine.

Screen went black smoke coming from back tv is 2007 according to back sticker still have sound

Smoke = overheating = big short = big failure of a part.
Unplug the tv immediately - you don't want t set your house on fire - and call a repaiman. Since the tv has been smoking then the damage will be extensive - a lot of parts, even entire boards, have been damaged. Te repair will be costly.

Most probably, Electrolytic condenser in the Power supply to display circuit may have punctured resulting in smoke coming out. Take tv to service centre. There is no other option.
Good luck.
