remove the head assembly and turn on the shaver. press the palm of your hand against the three gears and press reasonably hard to try to stop them from turning. do they stop easily or do they continue to turn in the palm of your hand? when you charge the shaver, does it run for several uses or does it run out of power quickly?

SLOW STARTING

Clean battery connections, and/or check the battery to see if it retains a full charge. Fully charged batteries are normally holding a 13volt charge, and up to 14.5 volts will show on a gauge during charging

Hey Steve, if you need a jump to start it then every thing is working except battery holding power try putting battery on a SLOW charge for a day then try again when its running check output of altinator with a fully charged battery it should be 12.5-13.5 volts and rise when you rev motor up ,when you jump it im thinking the battery is very low and the altinator is trying to recharge battery and it cant do that in just a few minutes running time or take it on along ride and watch amp gauge .good luck Steve.

Motor runs slow

I'm sure your talking about a NiCad battery. It will show full but once it has a little age it won't hold and deliver a full charge. Recycle the battery and buy a new one.

Slow to start like in starter

First, make sure your battery is fully charged.

Next, check your plus and minus connections on your battery posts. Don't just check them, clean the clamps on the inside and the posts. They make a tool that is a battery post wire brush tool for under $6 bucks, get one so you can clean them well. This may help the issue.

Once they are clean and it still is slow starting, my conclusion would be you may have a bad starter. The slow start means you typically have a dead spot on the starter armature which you cannot do anything to fix, replace it. .

Their is only other reason it could be slow to start and that is if you had a compression issue, and your car actually runs, so that is not it.

My 1993 cadillac eldorado is cranking slow and i just change the alternator

If the battery is fully charged but the starter is slow, the starter may have an internal short or may just be worn out. Make sure your battery is fully charged and the battery terminals are clean and tight though before buying a new starter.

Just bought car. battery seemed to be dead. charged up and drove 1-2 miles while check charge light was on with change oil and check coolant. Also, red light on dash for Alternator. Then all lights guages...

sounds like the alternator is shot and is not supplying sufficient power to the engine or even enough to charge the battery, try replacing it, and you said the dash light for the alternator is on so its most likely the alternator
