SOURCE: just stopped working

please check if the supply is still present in your amp using a multimeter. if you dont have a multimeter, check the fuse that supply the amp. a broken fuse will not turn the amp. let us know.

SOURCE: kenwood

In the manual in the troubleshooting sections it describes how to set the preout mode and that fixed my problem even after I had disconnected my battery.

SOURCE: My Kenwood KVT-516 has no sound, everything else

Check to see if you have a speakers A button and a speakers B button. Cycle them both on and off one at a time with something playing. This may turn the speakers back on. In addition you can check to see if you have a second room speakers feature that somehow got turned on- if so turn it off and the sound should come back. In addition you should download the manual and search for these features to show you have to deal with them.

What is the question? More information is needed before somebody can help you. What type of watts are you asking, power input, output, music, RMS, etc.

Kenwood CD player

Most car audio devices (like head units and amps) require a REM (remote) line to be connected to a switched power connection. This switched power is on when the car key is set to ON or Accessories.
Not knowing what Sony unit you had, I can't be sure, but it is likely your Sony had higher voltage preamp outputs than the Kenwood, as the KDC315 has 2V outputs.

Kenwood amp sound goes on one channel

You will need to check on the failed channel with reference from the working channel. If the model is having an IC check for the fusible resistors in the biasing circuit. If not your output IC could be faulty.
Open the set and check for any loose connections. make sure your speaker is fine and cross check for confirmation. If the speakers , the fuses are intact, then you will need to signal test to see if the premap is working or the output is at fault. So check this out. Good day

My Kenwood KAC 9152D 1800W AMP acting funny

Sounds like you got the wrong speaker load by either parralleling some speakers or else you bridged the outputs in such a way to create the wrong speaker load or maybe all of the above. In short, it sounds like you have blown at least one of your output channels and its time for a trip to the repair shop. I suggest you disable your amp at once so that it doesn't do any more damage to itself.
