Question about Televison & Video
First, you need to have the original working remote. You should be able to direct access any channel with it; ie: 03 should take you to channel three. The other thing you can try if the set has a MENU button is to locate autoprogram in the customer menu (make sure you have the set in Cable mode). Once engaged the set should scan all the channels with Dish hooked up to it. These sets have an unusual on screen menu--you may find just a list of items----scroll down to the bottom and keep scrolling down if you see this and it should give you up to 40 items. Even without the remote you should be able to access the entire customer menu with the front buttons and or change settings. Either you just need to reprogram or you have a serious problem with the set's microprocessor. This is a 27 inch set and if a micro problem it will be cheaper to replace it than repair. Let me know if you have questions and need more help---I am here to help. SD TECH
