Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Need to retrieve scanned files! I can see them in the scanners 'job history', but I can only click on details, can't scan/print. Is there a way to acces the file? Scanner is "ricoh pro 906ex" thanks

Normally scanned files end up in "My Pictures".

If not then when you are next scanning a picture keep a careful look out for any folder paths for example:

c:/folder/users/isabella/mypictures

As this may give you a hint where the files are ending up.

How to recover deleted files in Windows - File Recovery Software

You may have mistakenly deleted a file and you want to recover it. If the file has been deleted from the recycle bin, don't worry! You may be able to recover it. Typically, deleted files are not erased immediately; instead, references to them in the directory structure are removed, and the space they occupy is made available for later overwriting. I will go over steps you can take to try and recover that deleted file.

There are numerous software utilities you can use for file recovery. Some are free and some are paid. I have used and recommend Recuva. You can click the name to download it. This tool is simple to use and does a good job.

Instructions
-Once launched it will prompt you for what type of files to search for. For example, you can search for pictures, videos or all files.
-Next screen it will ask you what location you want to search. You can search the main disk drive or the recycle bin for example.
-After it searches it will display the files it found.
-Click the check box next to the file you want to restore and then click the restore button at the bottom right.
If possible, restore the file to a drive other than the one you are recovering from.

After the recovery process is done you should now be able to view and use your recovered file!

Tip
You can use the Deep Scan option if Recuva does not find the files on the initial scan. It will take longer but may help.

Error code 016 781

The 016-783 error message indicates that “Cause – Could not find the specified server path during file”.
The folder that the Xerox scanner job template uses to deposit the scans in had previously been deleted, so I had recreated the shared network folder. What I had neglected to do though was to recreate the sub-folders that the Xerox Job Templates use for the scans.
After recreating the subfolders that the file repository setup referenced in the job template I had no more error codes with that scanning job template.

1.press the scan button on the op panel
2.select scan setting

4.select multi page multi page to have the entire scan job sent as a single file.
if you are scanning jpeg as file type they will only scan as single page docs only pdf and tiff can be sent as multi page files

Can't find file where scan goes from Canon MX850

When you choose email or pdf you should be shown a file name of the file - search your computer for this file using Start>Search>For Files and Folders (XP) or Start>Search (Vista). When you locate the folder the files are in create a shortcut to it on your desktop. The obvious places to look would be in your My Documents folder or the Program Folder for the application (C:\Program Files\Canon?)
