I suggest replacing leads & cable first. Second I need Mgfr. & model number to provide you more options.

This has to do with where on the body the positive electrode is placed..in aVR the positive is on/near the right leg...a positive deflection, upright wave, is seen if the electrical activity, heart depolarization, is traveling towards the positive electrode...since the heart is rotated towards the left in the chest, normally electrical activity trends left...so in lead aVR the electrical activity is traveling away from the right so it gives a downward deflection of the waves

ECG MAC 1200 does not print leads III, aVF, V3 and V6, although they are shown on screen

I would reset the machine to factory defaults. Leads to be printed can be manipulated but the factory setting is to print a full 12 lead.

settings-> system setup-> restore defaults-> yes -> hit start until you are back at the main screen and hit print again ( to get a print out)

If it still wont print all 12 leads call us: Discount Cardiology 800-507-8244

Itis a printing problem i see the ekg lines it says collecting analying and printing but doesnt print

hi,
If you can the QRS wave on its display for all the leads and if the machine is not prinding then the problem is with the printer side. First of all you have to check is the paper is inserted propely or not. If its ok then the motor or its driving section can becom faulty. Also there is one more chance is there the battery. If any of the cells in the battery is faulty then the machine will not get the proper voltage and fails to print. Its an 18V 1.4Ah battery. If you need the service manual for the machine then I'll sent the same. For that i need your email address. I can't upload that manual by fixya as it is in PDF format.

We use a Welch Allyn ECG machine at our office, and our numerous occassions lately it is saying the the limbs leads are reversed (avR is showing up positive and aVL is showing up negative). How do I fix...

hi,
You have wrongly connected the limb leads. Limb leads are those leads which we connect in the arms and legs.
In your case the leads in the arm have been interchanged. Thats why you get the message and prints inverted avR and avR.
check the leads and properly place it.

How does ECG machine find that signals are good for printing (in auto mode)? some ECG machines take up to 20 second time for printing start

hi,
When the at2 is in auto mode, first of all it check the leads are properly connected or not. Then it will acquire the ECG and store the same in its memory then only it starts printing. that's why it takes that much time to give a printout. When its starts printing you can remove the connections from the patient because it have already memorized the ECG.
If interpretation is in on position it will compare the acquired ecg with the standards in its memory (allready programed by the manufacturer). and will give a detailed report with ecg.

Welsh allen at-2 lead light is on however ekg machine will not give tracing

hi,
There is some problem with the patient cable. Any one of the lead is broken inside. AT2 senses the presence of all the lead first and then only it will acquire the ECG and store it in its memory, after that it will print the ECG.
If any one of the lead have some problem. it will not go to the next procedure. and will indicate the lead off light.

1. check are you connected the lead correctly.
2. clean the electrode properly.
then try one more time. if problem remains. you have to replace the patient cable.
