    Hi 12fixlouie,
Yes, I did check PS board. Don't see anything unusual.

suryazz, If unit completely dead, try to find the fuse for unit and check it visually or with ohmmeter. UNPLUG THE UNIT FROM WALL OUTLET BEFORE TESTING!!!!! Did you check PS board for "cold, frosty looking" solder connections of the electronic active and passive components that are soldered to PS board? Let us know what you find. 12fixlouie

Hi I would like some help on trouble shooting my Samsung plasma TV model: PS-50Q91HD. Problem is the TV turn on for less than a minute and then turn off with a click sound and turn on again.

Fault with the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be on a separate board, or on the part of its main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Why does the tv keep shutting off for no reason?

sounds like a capacitor problem or the panel for the buttons on the side of the tv. here is a photo of a blown cap. the one on the left. check that first. if no blown caps, then check the button panel.

White ghost screen only 1/1/2 years old started going to white screen occasionally at 6 months old just for a few seconds now gives only white ghost picture.

It can be the ribbon cable on the T-CON board is looseor it is not getting 5vdc from the logic board to feed the T-CON board.

You will need to open it up and take a look inside. It may be still under warranty.

Samsung ln32a450 power on problem red light is blinking

I had the same problem with my LN32A450. The red standby light would flicker off every 5 seconds or so and the TV would not turn on. The problem was with the power supply board. When the light flickered this way, the standby power read 5.05V on the voltmeter instead of the required 5.2V. The problem lies in one of the solder joints in the standby power regulator.
You can fix this yourself if you have enough skill. Pull the board and reflow the solder on the SMT component joints with rosin (or your favorite flux, but clean it off afterwards). The SMT components are on the bottom side of the board. I ended up resoldering the joints from the first stage step down converter all the way to standby power filter cap and the feedback circuitry, including the main power regulator and everything in between, thru-hole parts too.
Check for bulging caps while you are there and replace.

When I turn on my LN32A450 TV it flashes to black screen for a few seconds for the first 15 minutes or so. I have tried unplugging for 30 seconds as mentioned in the manual but no help. After it warms up...

This is probally a fix for a repairman. Probally a bad video card or power supply board. It is probally not going to be cost effective, You are probally best off buying a new one.
