My krups coffee maker won't start because the 'no water in tank' error is blinking. I have unplugged, emptied the water, filled the water, no go, it just blinks like there is no water in the tank.

SOURCE: red blinking light on krups coffee maker

It means your water filter needs to be replaced. I wouldn't know this either as I found my coffee maker in a thrift shop, but I read it on Epinions a few minutes ago in a review.

Have you had any problems with splashing when brewing - some of the water missing the spout? I lose up to a cup of water and I'm stumped. The goldtone filter has to be pushed to go down into the unit, does this mean I'm putting it too far in and screwing up the stop n pour or something?

SOURCE: self clean light keeps blinking

Hello guindonlm,
I recently had this similar problem. Try the following.
Your described problem may be one of two problems. Let's start with the easier solution first. In the DCC 1200 there is a filter "stick or column" in the left rear. Pull it out and remove the clogged carbon filter(s) that are in there. Shine a light into the receptacle and remove the debris in the bottom. It is likely that this is causing the problem with you machine needing to be started on multiple times. See if this solution works. If it does, you might run 8 cups of water and 4 cups of vinegar through to help decalcify the units plumbing. Do this once or twice and then rinse with at least one pot run-through of clean water. If this works then you are good to go.
Next, if this does not solve your problem we can do the following: unplug the unit and lay it on its back. You will need a #10 torx driver (hardware store if you don't have one) to remove the bottom cover plate. There are 4 torx screws holding it on. When removed, you will find 2 orange hoses. Carefully attempt to remove the left hose without splitting. I used a eyeglas screwdriver to loosen it up. If it splits, just cut off the split and stretch it to reconnect when time comes. As you look into the hose you will find a little black valve inside as well a some gunk. Clean it all out with a fine wire as best you can. Rinse well. Attempt to reconnect the hose back onto the pipe. Slip the pipe clamp back into place. Replace the cover and screws and you should be good to go again. This is not as daunting as it may seem. You can do it. :o) Good luck! If this answer helps, please leave positive feedback for me. Much appreciated. Regards, NormanZ

SOURCE: The on-off switch on the coffee maker blinks fast

Not sure which Senseo model you have, but inside the water tank, near the bottom of one side, there's a small, black plastic block, which is retained by a small, chrome clip.
I think this plastic block contains a magnet, which trips a small sensor inside of the main body where the tank sits.
Once this sensor is tripped, the machine 'knows' that the tank (with water) is in place, and is now able to function and, if necessary, draw sufficient water to boil.

Hello, I have Krups XP-7220. When I try to make a coffee, machine start to ask me for refilling. And this process is endless.

Check the water float in the tank, it is common for them to cease floating sometimes. Krups solution is a new tank, my solution is to jam something plastic underneath it to lift it up so that it activates the sensor. Even if tank is empty it will no longer ask you to fill it up.

No water comes out of C190

Basically there are air pockets in the system that need to be cleared. Make sure the light has stopped blinking before you do this. If the light is blinking it means the machine is too hot. Turn off and unplug the unit. Fill the tank with hot water and run in coffee mode (lever towards you). You have to be patient it may take a while. Let it run till tank is empty. Now start the descaling process. You need to use the Nespresso descaling kit for this. This should solve your problem.

I have a Krups FME2 coffee machine and when I fill it up with water, the screen shows that the water reservoir is empty? What the heck?

If there is a water level float in the tank it may be no longer floating, if you can shove a piece of plastic under it to lift it up that should trigger it to think it now has water.

I have a problem with my Krups XP7240, it is

You can just removed the water tank filter (the cylinder inside the water tank) and washed it up. (Actually the filter should probably be replaced). Fix it back in the water tank and tide it safety upon the exit ring.

Don't forget to unplug the machine BEFORE doing this.
Next, restart the machine and let it perform the automatic self testing.

Error message states no water, but there is...

Unplug the device and plug back in after 1 min. If it still fails, then you have a dirty water level sensor or the control circuit board is fried. Empty the water out and fill it with vinegar as full as you can without overflowing. Let it soak overnight and turn the machine on (without coffee in it). Turn off after 30 secs.Turn on again and allow it to finish the cycle.  Discard the vinegar. Run three more brewing cycles with water only and it will be OK to use. If this does not cure it, then the only cost effective way is to replace it.

Franke coffee system, always same error message ''fill water tank''

What you would have to do is take the side panel off to get at the solenoid. It is probably sticking closed and not letting the water fill into the boiler.

Make sure that the float in the tank is actually floating, if not then there is your problem. 2 ways to fix it, buy a new tank or jam something under the float to trigger the sensor.
