Question about Acer Aspire One Netbook 8.9" Notebook
Brand new acer aspire One netbook
won't load windows xp
we went into acer eRecovery Management & loaded the recovery disks - but when we put in the 2nd disk - it says 'one of Service DiskPart users returned a failure error code=0
Then a message appears 'The operation completed successfully - press OK
when we do that, it just turns off & then tries to turn back on again
If you can still get into the BIOS, see if you have an option for D2D recovery. if so, make sure it is enabled.
restart the system and hold down Alt+f10. if your recovery partition is still intact, this should start a factory reload of your system.

The Aspire One is a netbook produced by
Acer; it does not come equipped with a CD ROM drive, so a traditional
hard drive reformat and Windows reinstallation is not possible without a
peripheral storage device. An external USB CD or flash drive will suffice, however.Difficulty:Moderate

Consider what data you still need from your Acer Aspire One's hard drive. Save the files to an external USB device.
Restart the Acer Aspire One's operating system. Wait for the Acer logo to appear on the LCD screen.
Press the "Alt" and "F10" keys at the same time to bring up the recovery menu. Press "Enter."
Click "Next." Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to restore the operating system back to factory settings.
Connect the external USB device to your Acer Aspire One and transfer the data you saved earlier back to the netbook.
