Question about Energizer Camping, Backpacking & Hiking
How to change the batteries on the TUF4D. It's an energizer hard case lantern. I can't figure out how to get to the battery case
The front outer rubber cover is removeable. Once you take it off with your fingers, the front unscrews revealing a two piece battery case. Squeeze the top flanges together and lift out, then the battery case shown in the box just lifts out.

I've owned this flashlight for years. In the comment above, ignore the instruction to remove the rubber casing around the lamp area. Simply grasp the whole front of the lamp piece (including the rubber cover), and twist in a counter-clockwise direction to remove. Then squeeze together the two black tabs and pull the battery compartment out to replace the batteries.
