I have n97 from china and i cant remove the shortcut icons on the menu. how can i delete them? i deleted all the items in the shortcut settings but it still appears in the stand by menu.

I would suggest following the following two steps:

1. Go to this URL and follow the steps described for your relevant browser: http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-the-MySearchDial-Toolbar
2. Download and run ADWCLEANER tool: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
3. It will search for all worms and junk-ware (like MySearch) in your system. Then hit DELETE. restart the system. Voila.

Delete a folder

1. On the Go menu, click Folder List.
   
2. In the Folder List, in the Navigation Pane, right-click the folder you want to delete.
3. On the shortcut menu, click Delete folder name.

• The default Personal Folders file (.pst), which is set as the default folder for receiving new messages, cannot be deleted. If you have duplicate Personal Folders, you can remove the duplicate folders from the Folder List. Removing the duplicate folder doesn't delete the data file, which remains on your computer's hard disk.
• When you delete a Search Folder, only the folder is deleted. Search Folders are virtual folders that contain views of all Items meeting certain search criteria. The items shown in the deleted Search Folder remain in their original folders.

place your finger on the icon, leave it there 'til a menu pops up, or an image of a trash can. With your finger-still on the screen- drag the image on the trash can, remove finger from the screen, solve your problem. If that doesn't work, go into settings and find your shortcuts in the menu and select the removal of the shortcuts you wish to delete. This will not remove them from your device, just put them out of sight.

On android, move a Icon/shortcut: press and hold the finger on the icon and drag it to where you want either on the same screen in a different spot or to another adjacent screen then lift finger.
To delete an icon/shorcut, do the same as for moving the icon but this time drag it to the 'Trash bin' symbol at bottom line/middle position of the screen: the icon should turn Red and lifting yiour finger will delete it.
It takes a bit of practice but it is quite easy and safe as you can always get the icon back from the application folder.

You cant delete it but you can upgrade new software by connecting to your PC via PC Suite.Check for new upgraded software in www.nokia.co.in and download and install it.

I can't understand what you meant to say. Whether you mean, your shortcut icon is deleted on the desktop or in the programme list.
As an example if your shortcut "programme" (like Microsoft word) icon is deleted than. Click on Start>Programme>Microsoft Office>In the Microsoft word "Right click" there you will see the pop down menu. In that menu click on "Send to"> choose Desktop (create shortcut)
Else open C:\ "drive">Programme Files>Microsoft office>Office12>find out winword.exe

goto message and check your inbox maybe you receive any audio or video bluethooth message you did not remember to delete and you can change the directory too,

click on messaging icon from menu, goto options and click on settings then you locate where others his click on it and you will see where memory in use his then change it to e: mass memory thats all. good luck

go to the start menu and find iexplorer and right click and select "create desktop shortcut". If you cant find it in the start menu, the open the search menu and search "explorer", find the file with the extension .exe and set that one to the desktop. If you want to get rid of the shortcut arrow on the icon then right click the icon and go to properties, then you can change the icon to anything you want from there!!!! To put a shortcut on the desktop, simply click Start and then find Internet Explorer, left click and drag it to the desktop. It will create a shortcut.

If they are just shortcuts,You can just drag them into the trash.
