No, it sounds possibly like the glue that was used to seal the back of the fridge is leaking out. Maybe a defect, if your fridge is still under warranty, I'd call the seller to ask about what can be done from there. Freon is a gas.

There is a thick sticky black substance leaking from my refrigerator for the past two weeks on the left front side. Frigidaire model p/n 241543966

Hello Melanie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician.

You do not have a refrigerant leak. Refrigerant is clear in color.

You have a water leak. The black sticky substance is either coming from your bottom condenser cooling coil or just general dirt under your refrigerator that accumulates over time. The coil under your refrigerator collects dirt as well.

You need to pull the refrigerator out so you can get behind it.
Unscrew the bottom back cover. Inspect for the water leak source. Your condensate drain pan may be leaking or dislodged.

The water line to your ice maker may be leaking.

Your water supply shut off valve to your refrigerator may be leaking.

Dometic refrig not cooling but found yellow oil at service panel

if you find an oily substance its most likely freon. this looks pretty new so i would say you have a bad soldered joint on a copper to steel line. theses usually ar fot the high side. where the condensor coil or loop runs either to underref or up in the ref walls

Only used a few times and the power is on but nothing showing on the screen and theres no sound its a black ds lite

The reason the screen isn't showing-up is probably because of runny colors or blotchy colors permanently stained on the screen, even when the Nintendo DS Lite is OFF, my guess is that the liquid crystal display (LCD) is cracked. And also, there are multiple reasons for your speakers not working properly. The main reasons for the speakers not working would be the following;
  • Something small must have gotten wedged inside of the speakers.
  • A type of liquid and/or sticky substance leaked into speakers.
  • Lots of pressurized force on upper screen(which could have also caused the damage done to the screen).
What I would recommend is make an appointment with "Nintendo customer service".

Whirlpool Side by Side: Freezer freezes refrig doesn't cool.

check for a blockage. There is only one cooling section, divided by airflow for freezer / fridge.
Perhaps something sticky is in the vents, or the freezer section has poor airflow, resulting in ice formation.
Unplug the unit for several hours, clean out vents, and make sure freezer section has good airflow from the vents.

There seems to be something leaking from the front bottom of the refridgerator, can it be feron, is it dangeours

freon is a gas at room tempurature. if the fridge is working, then it is probably water condensation. If the fridge is not working, it could be the oil inside the compressor.

GE regrigerator not cooling or freezing

first defrost it by turning it off for 1\2 to 1 full day,put towels on the floor to catch the water,when a refridgerator gets frosted up it cant circulate the cold air,and if its one with the freezer on top then the cold air cant blow down into the refridgerator,check inside the refridgerator at the top where the thermostat cover is there will be a vent hole,it could have ice built up so much that its totally blocking the air flow.This usually happens when hot food is put in the refridgerator and causes steam,or the refridgerator runs too much caused by bad door seals,or the cooling fins on the back or bottom underneath plugged with dust and the freon gets too hot causing condensation inside the freezer which causes it to frost up,a plugged drain hole will back up water and freeze,the fan in the freezer may have stopped working,which is about a $60.00 part,and finally a bad defrost element (about a $40.00 part)which is a glass tube inside the freezer with a coiled up wire inside it that heats up at certain times to defrost any ice build up,(which is the last thing to check)

Freezer is not freezing and refridgerator is not cold enough

have the freon checked for leaks, also check to make sure the compressor is coming on. If it comes on and is warm, boost freon. If the unit is not coming on properly, check the capasitors and compressor

PAC L90 leaking oily substance

it leaked all the freon and oil out .
it needs to be vacuumed and oil replenished.
filled with freon.
should only cost you bout 50.give or take
as they use very little freon.
a shrader valve port has to be added to introduce the freon. takes just a few seconds.

Ice forms in the section on top of the refrigerator

Judging by a similar problem I had with a dehumidifier, you may have a Freon leak or low freon pressure - (It's probably NOT really FREON - but something else).

This is a fair guess - from my dehumidifier problem. A dehumidifier functions the exactly the same way as a refridgerator - except it's not designed to "keep the cold in a BOX." Given the cost of a service man AND the cost of the Freon (it's expensive), you may want to pitch the Fridge and get a new one.
