You need the scan router lite utility. You can download it from:

That is assuming you have the scan function available. Otherwise you need to purchase it, and I'm not sure it is still available.

How to clear scan data

Your machine will show 100% and that is correct. It doesn't mean memory full, but rather the amount of memory that is still available. Once you scan a document you will see the memory drop down to 99% or even lower depending on the size of the scan. If you don't see this happening than you are not scanning. Other than that your scan will either go to a folder on your PC or straight to your email. All you need to do is locate the folder it saves your scan in (usually created in your C: drive) or check your email folders including your Spam/Junk mail folders.

I don't know where my scanned files go?

If you scan it as a document, it will create a folder labeled with the date it was scanned in your "My Documents" folder. If it's scanned as a picture, the folder will appear in "My Pictures." That's IF it's working. Mine sometimes looks like it's scanning but nothing saves at all.

How do you set up scanning from my MP2550 to a folder on my server. thx Dee

I assume this is a Ricoh machine.

1) Make a share folder on the server(pc) with write access and a password.
2) Access the copier through the web page.(Open Internet explorer and in the address bar type the Ip address ).
3) login: admin password: or "password"
4) Go to the address book
5) Create a new address and fill in the details.

or

From the panel add new address and fill in the details(do not forget to put a name)

I'm trying to use the scanner to scan some documents and store it in a folder in the computer. Can you help me with this? Ray

Your software will usually ask where you want to store the document once it's scanned. A lot of software is intuative enough to guide you through each step.

FS1118 scanning issue - this may sound like a long process but its easy...

Just create a folder called scans in your c:/ drive right click and share the folder

Go to the kyocera command centre (type the ip address of the machine into your browser, taking note your machine must be networked)

Once in kyocera command centre

Click on basic

on the left menu select address book, contacts

create a new contact and under SMB

only insert your computers IP address in the host field

and insert the file name scans in the path field.

Click submit...

Once complete go to your machine

insert a page to scan, select the send button

press the address key

select the contact you created

select ip address press enter

now press 2 on the keypad

press enter

press 2 again

enter again

and then press the green start button once complete..

The scanned document will appear in the scans folder

Yes.
Go to your desktop. Create a folder named "scans" on the desktop, and share it. Give the "everyone" group full access, or give users permission to modify files. Depending in how its set up.

On the copier, since you already have Email setup, your dns servers will be entered. Go to:

user tools, system settings, admin tools, address book management. Either select a user, or new program. Fill in user name ect. Select folder. It will ask for a path. Enter the path using the following template"

\\computername\scans. You should be able to test it out. If it is successful, then it will prompt you to login. This is your local login for the computer with the scans folder, The password is its password. Press ok to save.

Select scanner, scan document to the user that you set up. If the memory goes from 100%, to 99%, to 100% quickly, it worked.

You can use variations of this on a server too. If its a domain server, assigned to a group, the user name and password are what the user uses to access the active directory.

Help with scanning on mour Ricoh Aficia 2035.

Since this is a  network printer, you can scan to folder,FTP site or email. alot will depend on your network enviroment. SMB is the simplest. The folder you are scanning to need permission to write to the folder. If you have email you need to enter your smtp server IP address in the user tools and an senders email address. the manuals with the copier will help or download them.
