How do I stop the buffering so the movies continue to play

You can't except by reducing the quality of the video. Your internet connection is so bad, the 'pot of buffering' is not being filled fast enough as playing it, is emptying it. Think of a bath being filled with the drain open.

Buffering is there to help you, your connection to the internet isn't.

Preloading data into a reserved area of memory (the buffer). In streaming audio or video from the Internet, buffering refers to downloading a certain amount of data before starting to play the music or movie.

Why cant I play any music or video without it buffering? At first I thought it was happening because my data was slow..but that's not it.Even songs I've already downloaded from Google Play are doing it.I've...

All streamed players need buffering unless you have 125mbps internet as I have. Buffering takes place until the play can handle the data being used. Sometimes it will stall if the internet drops or the server supplying the data stalls. Once downloaded it should play straight through. Problems at that stage can only be faults with the file, the processor, the RAM memory or the program playing it.

On a computer, boot to Safe Mode and try it again. This only has the basic programs open to make your computer work. There are a lot of programs running in the background called TSRs, (Terminate and Stay Resident).

On a phone or tablet, it always the wifi signal.

How to stop buffering

If you are talking about the internet and a web movie that says that it is buffering, the major issue is your internet speed. Video streams to your computer and your player attempts to play it. When the feed is slower than the movie player, the play pauses to let the internet catch up and you get that error.

The play back on recorded tv programs keeps going into "standby " mode and shows no signal which returns briefly when menu is pressed. It is connected to the tv by HDMI and the tv continues to work ok....

Your source [computer?] has to buffer [collect] data to feed to the video card. You don't have enough RAM to make the buffering seamless. Thus the playback pauses.

How to stop buffering

  • 1 Allow the movie to load completely, or at least halfway, before you start to watch it to stop video buffering.
  • 2 Start the movie and then hit stop until the movie has fully or halfway loaded. As the movie is loading, you should see a yellow or gray line. The line you see will get longer as it loads.
  • 3 Close all windows that you don't need. Having too many windows open will slow the loading process.
  • 4 Resume play once the movie is at least halfway loaded or fully loaded. By this time, you should be able to enjoy the movie without the video buffering or constant starting and stopping.
