Problem with Canon MX700 printer: For the past

Problem with Canon MX700 printer: For the past two weeks, every morning, printed text shows skipped swatches across the entire width of page at several intervals. Cleaning the nozzles with the Canon utility solves the problem until the next morning. Nozzle pattern check and alignment tests show good results.

    Komguy,

Thank you for your reply. I checked the strip as you advised. It was completely clean. However, your reply inspired me to go a bit further. I removed and cleaned the print head with alcohol and swabs. Upon reassembly, a test page printed perfectly. Not sure if it's really fixed for good since the printer works well for aday after cleaning, but it's a hopeful sign.

Look inside at the clear strip that runs across behind the carriage. With a light you should see grease or ink spots at the same area where the skips appear on your page. Clean the spots off with a Q-tip damp with alcohol.

My printer just stopped printing black colour. I printed heaps before going away for 1 week, then on return it just wouldnt print. Any ideas??

Is it empty and needing replaced. If not run a couple printer head clean cycles from the printer software to clean out any dried up in from being away for a week. Some cartridges also have expiration dates and the printer may not print once you are past the expiration date. Does it print anything at all, or feed the paper and not drop in on it?

Most web browsers have an option to change the text size on the page you are viewing. In IE8 it is accessible through the Page menu, Text Size. It defaults to Medium, and there are 2 smaller sizes and 2 larger sizes available.
