Usually when this problem occurs, i just keep pushing the button and it will after a minute come through. This time, i had to remove the water filter and empty the water out, put the filter back in and pushed the button til it dripped, then a trickle and then it was back to normal.

GE profile refrigerator ice maker not working

Ice dispenser doesn't work
  1. Dispenser control board
If the ice dispenser is not functioning at all the most likely cause is going to be the dispenser control board. The dispenser control board governs the major portion of the systematic functions of the dispenser and is less likely to be the issue if only certain components are malfunctioning. If the dispenser control board is at fault, it will need to be replaced.
  1. Water inlet valve & low water pressure from house supply
If the ice dispenser on your refrigerator is not working properly, one of the first things to consider as an issue is the water pressure to your appliance. The ice dispenser cannot properly function with a psi less than 20. If psi is appropriate, proceed to replace the water inlet valve to correct the issue. You may also be dealing with low household water pressure. This low flow can be examined by using a water pressure test gauge. Once the household water pressure is resolved, you can double check your refrigerator connection to ensure it is now flowing properly and that the ice dispenser is functioning.
  1. Water tube in door is frozen
If the ice dispenser is not working on your refrigerator, the issue could be a frozen water supply tube located in the door. Although this may be a tricky problem to locate, the first thing to do is find a connection point in the tube. After this has been found, attempt to blow air through the tube. If the air flows freely through the tube, it is not frozen and this is not the issue. If it does not, the tube is frozen and needs to be removed to thaw out. As it thaws, attempt to ascertain why it froze and correct the positioning of the tubing to prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.
  1. Dispenser switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working properly you could be dealing with a defective dispenser switch. Activated by the dispenser actuator, the switches are responsible for numerous actions including ice cube disbursement, type of ice, and water controls. The switch can be tested using an ohm meter and should be replaced if it does not reveal continuity.
  1. Door switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working, the functionality of the door switch can be inspected. This switch is responsible for turning on the light in the freezer and simultaneously turning off the ice dispenser when the freezer door is opened. If this switch malfunctions, it will show no continuity on the ohm meter and will require replacement.

Kenmore elite water dispenser not working

We had the same problem after 4 months. A technician came out and told us that our water line within the refridgerator was frozen and that every once in a while we'd have to take a hair dryer to it (!). Of course we told him that was unacceptable so they sent a second tech out who replaced some parts by being walked through the repair over his cell phone. He was unable to tell us what happened or details about the repair. 11 months later our water line froze again and we resorted to a Brita water pitcher.

We had a ice storm and power was off for nearly two weeks, wont d

When the power was off for that long period of time all of the ice in the dispenser melted. When the power came back on, any water remaining in the ice cube bin froze into a solid block.

If you raise the wire arm up and leave it up, no new water will come into the icemaker. Do that.

If there is a block of ice in the ice cube bin, use a blow dryer to melt it and discard it. Once the ice is gone, spray the auger with some PAM or other cooking spray to lubricate it a little bit.

Finally lower the wire arm down and wait up to 12 hours to get ice making normally again.

Internal water dispenser stopped working

I lowered the temp on the freezer to 4 overnight, by morning water dispenser is working fine. I think that when we changed the temp to 7 (in order to make more ice ) it froze the water pipe going to the dispenser. I am going to keep both fridge and freezer at 5 ,and hope this will not happen again.

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?

Fridge is leaking

Your plastic line which carries water to the dispenser has a crack in it.  Activate the dispenser and have another person pinpoint the lead and splice two pieces together with plastic connector.
