Question about Brother HL 5150 Laser Printer
I have a 5150D that is printing a thick (at least 1/4") black stripe on the right edge of every page. Any idea on how to make it stop?
Yes,.. you need to change the print drum unit. The drum light (amber LED) may or may not be on. It is not the only way to tell when the drum unit needs to be replaced. If the failure is premature, it could be caused by an obstruction on that edge of the drum,.. if you pull the drum unit out and look,.. look for small pieces of paper or a failing wiper on the drum. Either way, the drum will need to be replaced and the inside of the printer cleaned.
