Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)

1 Answer

I cannot get the wireless connection to work. We reset the connection not too long ago (before it was working fine). The wireless icon on the front is blinking, as well as the icon that looks like a little circle with a triangle inside. What's the problem?

Router connects to the internet using cat 5 cable but not wirelessly today. Worked fine yesterday. Icon in system tray has my home network connected, but, it says "no internet"

try pinhole resetting the router. Hold it down for 30 seconds, then pull the power, then press and hold it for 30 more seconds, then plug the power back in.. then press and hold it for another 30 seconds and let go.

Try connecting wireless again, if this doesnt work the router is broken. Get a new one.

Hi

What i would do in this situation is ist i would check that all wires are connected properly to the router

Try resetting my router back to factory settings there is normally a reset switch on the router

If that does the trick and if you want to make any adjustments to the router look up the manual or google it to find out what ip address you need to type into your top browser then click save settings and log out

If that dont work right click the wireless icon in the task bar down on the right hand side go to view available wireless networks then go over to the left hand side go to
Advanced settings

Then up top to wireless networks

Make sure a tick in top left saying use windows to configure my network settings

Go to bottom right Advanced tick in any available networks then go back to your network ssid or the name of the network that you normally connect to DELETE IT click ok

Then in a very short time windows should give you a warning of wireless network or networks available

So click on the notice from windows or right click the wireless network icon bottom right hand side Go to view wireless networks

Your network should now be back in there so highlight it rightclilck it and connect typing in Security Key if nec

Hopefully this will get you back on line if not

You could try a system restore back to around the date that it started to play up

hopefully this will get you back online

The wireless connection not working

You could reset the IP Stack. In windows Right click the Wireless Network Adaptor and click reset.

Or the easy way out just hard code the IP, DNS etc. In fact hard code all of your devices and turn off DHCP Server on the router it gives you a tiny bit more "security" and avoid Duplicate IP errors when the router gets powercycled etc.

No wireless , works fine with a cord ,green light not on under wireless icon, was operating fine

Since wireless is not working better if we reset and reconfigure the router, to reset it press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds using a pen and then power it off for 10 seconds and that's it the router is reset and you just need to run the setup CD to reconfigure it back.......

Wireless switched off wont connect

On the side edge or on the front edge of the laptop there should be a wireless switch or a clear button, when you activate it the wireless light should light up amber/orange.
