Magenta is bleeding down the center of the page Kyocera FS-C5016N

Magenta is bleeding down the center of the page, from top to bottom. already followed manual's cleaning instructions. Any idea as to what is going on and how to clean it out without calling out an expensive tech?

You most likely will need to replace the magenta developer...
you prob dont' need a tech to do this..
these machines get very dirty..
take out all the toners.
underneath the toners is the developers.
there is a connector on the right hand side ..take out the connector
than pinch both grey tabs together and pull up and out the magenta developer... clean the magenta develop (vaccum out) or replace it

    I did this with a machine just bought second hand streaking colours everywhere - thanks for the advice - but was not prepared to discover suddenly that the first (back) developer, when it lifted it, sprayed magenta toner EVERYWHERE! Everything was indeed filthy, I next have to check what has happened to the vacuum cleaner!

    The printer is now working well, thanks, but a warning to others - be prepared, move gently!

Hello,
this error is about the Magenta developing unit.
Please check the connection between the ptinter and the developing unit. Restart the printer after that.
If the error will not go away after that you will have to replace the Magenta developing unit.
If the error still will not go away you will have to replace the engine power board.

So were the pages are supposed to be blank it has a red tint to it?

If this is the case sound like the developer unit for the magenta is bad you have to replace it if this is the case.

My Kyocera FS-C5030N has just started printing a red line on the right side of every page?


Try cleaning the magenta charge grid on the left side door of printer. But from my experience this is caused by the magenta developing unit wearing out or going bad. A kyocera dealer can help with this.

The toner you bought is problematic, return it to the shop and ask for new one.

Blotchy excess red toner left on side of page.


My first instinct would be to call the people who serviced it and have them check it out for you. If you don't have time for that then the next and slightly more expensive solution is to replace the magenta toner cartridge. My reasoning for this is if you get them to come out and explain that it is since they cleaned it then they can pay for the replacement cartridge, or clean it again. But I think that if the new cartridge does not solve the problem, then during the cleaning the tech made a magenta mess somewhere in the printer. I hope this helps.
