Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

Replace Control Board?

Dishwasher has error code CL which indicates the door is not shut. Of course the door is shut. The door switch is working properly. I confirmed that power is making it back to the control board on P8 from the door switch. Seems like a relay or other component on the control board has failed. Any other ideas?

My dishwasher FDB2510LCC1 get a cl code while washing and stays running on the wash stage until it is shut off

Hello Randy, thank you for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dishwasher is displaying an error code of "CL" this means close door. The dishwasher may not be sensing that the door switch is closed. The "CL" means that you could have a possible issue with the main control board or door latch. I would recommend checking to make sure the latch does not have any visible damage. This could also be a miscommunication within your dishwasher and a reset may help clear it out. In order to reset the dishwasher you would flip the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. We hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Good Afternoon friend, thank you for your post!

Based off what you have described you have performed multiple tests to your Frigidaire dishwasher and it continues to display a "CL". That code does stand for close door which can mean that the door switch is sensing it is opened. For this error code it could be a possible problem with your door switch or main control. I understand you stated that the control did not appear to have a burn inside of it so it is easy to assume that the door latch could be the issue. Remember if you are not a professional technician this could be the start of unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

Why won't my dishwasher start?

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

Based off the information you have provided "CL" stands for close door. If you continue to experience an issue with the "CL" error code I would recommend having a professional come out to your home and diagnose your appliance. "CL" could be a problem within your door switch or main control board. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Hi Joseph - I understand your dishwasher is displaying a "CL" error code. A "CL" code typically refers to the main door switch. The first easy troubleshooting tip is to flip the circuit breaker to the dishwasher for about 20 minutes and see if that resets it and clears the error. If the circuit breaker trick doesn't work, it could potentially mean that the door is not closed completely. However, it could also mean that the control board is not sensing that the door is properly closed. I would recommend checking the door switches. Look to see if you notice if anything is bent or misshapen. Also, you might try the manufacturer site to see if you can download an owner's manual for future reference. They typically have a large number of owner's manuals for consumer use. If you have tried these troubleshooting tips and still come up with a "CL" code, you might need to reach out to a local service tech who can better pinpoint the problem for you. Best of luck!

Frigidaire dishwasher model FDB2320REC0 when I push the normal wash CL flashes

Hello linda_ross88 - Typically CL indicates that the main control board is not sensing that the door is properly closing. One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, typically an expert would need to check the door switches, wiring, and test the main control board. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend seeking a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

Our dishwasher is blinking CL - i think this means 'Close'... Even when the door is properly closed, it blinks CL and won't start!! Help!

Hi

Error CL appears when the dishwasher control detects door switch is open or door is open. You'll have to open the door and check the continuity of the door switch. If the door seems to be closed then it is the control has detected an issue with the door latch. Check the door latch & seals to make sure door is closing fine. Unplug the dishwasher from power outlet and wait for 10-15 minutes. Restart the dishwasher and check if the error is still there. If error still appears then you'll need to repalce the door switch/door latch. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Frigidaire Dishw. Error code CL

this just happened to ours and it turned out to be the gasket that seals the door.

when you see the CL error and the door is indeed shut, pull gently back on the door. if you hear a click and the unit starts running again, it may be the gasket.

ours lost it's ability to keep the seal, allowing enough 'play' in the locking mechanism for it to think the door was not closed.
