Question about HP J3680 Officejet All In One Printer
Check your USB ports and cable. If you have the unit plugged into a hub, try directly connecting to the computer. (A bus-powered hub is at higher risk but failures are known with both.) Try swapping to a new port (if you are already directly connected to the computer). Check if a known working device works in the port. Ports can burn out under some situations.
Try a brand new cable as well. In some cases, you might want to try unplugging the power connection as well as the USB cable to clear any issues on the printer.
