Hmmm..crackling in headsets suggests that perhaps you have a shorted connection. you may wish to test them elsewhere too

The sound when connected via headphone jack to aux input socket on 09 fiesta is crackled and hissing. It's a 6g 8gb nano< works ok with headphones but not in the car. Ford said there is no fault...

Check the cable that you use when connecting to the car...its the only thing that changed. if not the cable then its the jack on the radio. use a different cable or take it to a different radio

Four weeks ago I bought an iPod Touch 32GB. After listening to my iPod on an external speaker I tried using the headphone and the sound is just too low. I thought my headphone was damaged but I tried it on...

Sounds like plugging the external speakers in has damage the spot were the headphones go in. If this is under warranty that bring it to apple store.

Only Getting Sound Out Of One Ear In Headphones

go on eBay and buy a new audio jack.

I had the same issue. Gradually it became worse and worse (on the sound cutting out more frequently out of one ear or being really silent at best) and I replaced the audio jack by buying a new one on eBay. Or if you are not the do-it-your-selfer and you got money, bring it to an iPod store that preforms repairs. When you order it on ebay, if it is really cheap, it usually ships from China or something and it might take a couple weeks. But saves you some bucks!

My ipod doesnt only works out of one headphone.

HI,
I actually had the exact same problem with my ipod touch. It's actually not a problem with the headphones but with the headphone jack on the ipod. For a while i "solved" this problem by wrapping my headphone wires twice around my ipod [so it was tight and the sound could be heard, the same way u do it by pushing it with ur finger]. Well one day my ipod jack just fixed itself, I got lucky. But my advice to you is to send it into apple like my friend who had the same problem did, they sent him a new one [hopefully u have a warrenty!]
hope that helped!!..thank you!!..

IPod MA146LL/A no sound

You should check and see if the headphone jack is broke or not. That sometimes accounts for the reason why sound won't come out.

Go here to see about replacing/fixing a broken headphone jack:

Ipod and headphone problem

The headphone jack on all the apple products have issues (even their laptops). There is no easy fix, other than having the jack replaced, or remounted. A common issue is that it comes loose from the pc board, especially with the movement of the headphone cord. This is a design/functionality flaw.

Hope this helps some.

Ipod nano

have you checked the headphones on another device to see if they are broken cause if they are shorting it can drain your battery, secondly turn off that "clicker" that is used when you use the touch wheel. in the settings menu, and while you are there also look into the standby features and back light "lit" time. if this all fails restore the fact. setting. i am sure however you already tried to return it on warranty??!!
