    Dishwasher model: Frigidaire FDB1050REC2
I could go get a wetvac and voltmeter, but was hoping there was something I could do with tools I have on hand.

Water remaining in dishwasher is a little over an inch. Discolored after the latest cycle.

thanks for your response...i tried removing the water yesterday and then I cleaned the glass trap...i generally pre-rinse really well so there is rarely food left on the dishes...i tried using baking soda and vinegar based on something i read, but it did not work...may not have poured it down the correct side of the filter screen

i checked the drain hose and there does not appear to be any kinks, but i can see the water sitting in the drain hose, but not filled all the way to the disposal

i also heard a deep humming noise during operation which I had not heard before, but it didnt last the whole cycle

You need to remove the dishwasher trap and clean it. This should be done once or twice per year depending on how much food you leave on your dishes when you wash them.

Here is a frigidaire manual for a random dishwasher. At the end of the manual you will see the diagrams I am talking about. Good luck!

The deep humming noise was the pump operating. Try starting a cycle and then hit the cancel button. The pump should try and drain. Let me know if you still hear the deep humming noise or no noise at all.

What I would do is get a wet/dry vaccum and disconnect the drain hose at the sink.Place the drain hose into the nozzle of the wet vac turn the dishwasher on and advance to the drain cycle turn on the wetvac and create a seal with your hand and evacuate all debris in the system.

Good luck hope this helped

Sc. Check the drain valve, remove the pump and test it. If it is not the pump then probably a relay or switch. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Excessive amount of drain hose on dishwarsher cause a drain problem

Hello Leonard, thank you for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher has two gallons of water left inside of the tub. I would recommend checking the drain hose to assure it is not clogged and installed properly. The glass trap may need to be cleaned out and you can locate that under the bottom rack. If you continue to experience issues with your dishwasher please reply back for further assistance. -Matt

FDB1050REC2 no water

If water runs back into the drain then your drain hose is not properly afixed to the top of the unit under the cabinet. It must be at the top of the unit so no more than a half of an inch of water falls back into the tub when finished.

Frigidaire gallery dishwasher model#DGHD2433KF1 water droplets remaining on top lower water not draining all the way leaving an odori

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?

Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!

Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.

The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Water didnt drain from frigidaire dishwasher model FDB989GFC

Hello!

If your dishwasher does you need to check all this parts:

1. Check sink drain and drain hose for restrictions
The drain hose and recirculation hoses can be responsible for leaks. The drain hose can cause the dishwasher to fail to drain properly. The recirculation hose can be responsible for problems with poor rinsing of dishes.
2. Unjam the motor
3. Unjam the pump
4. Check the drain valve
5. Check the drive belt
6. Test the timer motor
If you have a brand new dishwasher or garbage disposer, check the knock out plug on the garbage disposer.

Water in bottom

This sounds like your backup valve is not closing properly, so the part of drainage water comes back into your dishwasher. You can verify this by disconnecting the drain hose from your kitchen sink drain and pouring water into it. If some of it comes into your dishwasher, the check valve (backup valve) must be replaced.
