Spl xc200d, when I plug it in, it does the beep, then shuts off

Spl xc200d, when I plug it in, it does the beep and start up with everything on the lcd light up, then after about 2-3 sec's it turns off and doesn't run. I blew out all the paper dust with compressed air, checked the 'bin closed' switch, etc... just powers down after 2-3 secs and doesn't work

I fixed mine by pulling the base/ waste tray apart from the top of the machine, which actually houses the electronics/shredding mech. I then vacuumed all the paper "dust" out, which will be EVERYWHERE from the motors' cooling fan circulating it. On the circuit board that attaches to the top cover, which has the LCD screen, I re-flowed the solder joines for the 2 micro chips, as well as the 3 switches, in/out wires, and the LCD hook up leads. Put it back together & it worked :D

Mine was doing exactly the same thing and its problem was the ON/OFF switch was oxidized and not making contact. Disassembled an cleaned with electrical cleaner while pressing and wiggling around as much as possible, (IE it needed a new switch) but this got it to work again - at least for a while.

I just purchased a dgb 550 series 2 days ago, I was moving it and it is now making a beeping sound and will not allow me to do anything, I have unplugged it and replugged and it still does this I tried to...

The constant beeping means that something is out of place - make sure the charcoal water filter holder is in place, even if there are no filters inside. Make sure the grind chamber and all parts are in place. Make sure the filter basket is in place, and that the door is closed. Finally, make sure the lid of the coffee maker tiself is shut and that the lid of the craffe is firmly in place. If everything is in place, it should stop beeping. Turn the coffeemaker off, and then on after all of this is done.

Will not start up

If it's not beeping during the first start up then it's not POSTing.  Beep means everything connected to it seems to be functional ie PnP
Try pulling out your memory and reseating it.   Try pulling out your battery for 5 minutes then plug in ac(without batt) and see if it will boot.  Try pulling your hard drive and reseat.  (access by covers on bottom...dont be scared. Touch something that's grounded just before you remove) If all this and still no full POST(with beep/s) then sounds like a new mobo or processor.

Have a Staples SPL-XC200d Paper Shredder. The 'add oil' light is on...but have added oil repeatedly. Does not need more oil. Have also unplugged overnight, thinking that would 'reset' the computer, no...

After you have added the shredder oil, you have to hold down the "Lubricate" button for about 5 seconds. This resets the counter and it will remind you to add oil when you have gone through about 250 more pages. Note: holding down the "Lubricate" button for 5 seconds will reset the counter and make the message disappear whether you add the oil or not, but it is highly recommended that you use the oil.

Harddrive

does it beep??
try following:
remove all hardware (RAM, Videocard, disconnect all drives and add-on-cards if possible)
if they PC does not beep when you start up you have either a faulty Mainboard or a defective CPU.
if it beeps put in the RAM first. If you hear different beep you know your RAM is ok. then plug in your videocard. if PC does not start you have a faulty videocard --> replace it.
if you see sth on screen you know so far everything is alright. now plug in the other hardware one piece at a time. BUT REMEBER: always shut off the PC while doing that. better: pull the powerplug....
