Amp blowing fuses

Then there is a defect in or on the amp, causing it to use a too high current. Stop putting in new fuses, till the amplifier is repaired or the shortage is removed. Could be a speaker cable has a shortage, or even some (older) amps could start oscillating when a speaker was removed, also blowing the fuse.

Bmw 5 series dispaly and cd not working son put coins in cd player

I'm afraid the coins did cause a shortage in the CD player, knocking out the player. A tech should replace it, when you still want to play disks. I hope your son did learn something, because it won't be cheap in a BMW to replace the CD player.

Raido cuts on and off on its own

Sometimes, the CD player (single disc) interferes with the radio. (At least from my experience!) Just put a CD in the CD Player and press the AM/FM button and this should, I say, SHOULD stop the radio from cycling on and off!

you need a cd disc laser cleaner - this goes inside your cd player like a normal cd but cleans the laser instead

Wurlitzer omt K99 the cd will stop during play

I seem to be having the same problem and all signs point to the serial control board board Pt# 0046630 under the player. The symptoms with mine were randomly cutting off songs about 20 sec after song start and returning disc to carrier. It started mostly when juke was first turned on (cold) and then progressed to all the time and now display on cd board is dark only randomly coming to life then dead again. power on the sub transformer is good and when it comes to life player works well. I am sending the board to be repaired.

CD player cuts in and out

Look on the catera forum.. I think I have the info correct that there is a relay under the dash that controls radio fog lights and other stuff.. the solders break thus getting dead zones. its a k34 dealer item. Grey bok under dash on driver side toward center of car!! check it out!

Cuttinng out

Does it cut out when you are listening to the tuner as well as the cd player? If so, you have a bad connection somewhere. Sometimes the solder joints inside the radio can be cracked and will cut out when you hit bumps. May be a wire that is a little loose. Check all the wiring.
If it only cuts out when you are listening to the CD player, you may need the lens cleaned or the laser replaced. Sometimes the cd player cuts out because the unit has too much wiggle room and it bounces a little when you hit a bump causing the cd to skip or cut out. and there is always the dirty CD. Try cleaning the CD's with windex and a soft cloth like a bath towel. It works great for me and is cheap. Fingerprints can and will cause a cd player to skip.
